Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunny skies and humid weather.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Up on the  Avon beaches there were some sea mullet and bluefish caught.  The Buxton beach had a few sea mullet and spanish mackerel reported.  The Frisco  beaches had a few sea mullet caught. The Hatteras beach had reports of a few spanish mackerel in he morning until the grass pushed in.

The inshore boats caught puppy drum. today in the Pamlico Sound.  The spanish mackerel bite was pretty good around Hatteras Inlet.

The offshore boats had good dolphin and black fun tuna fishing. a  A few wahoo were also caught.  The red snapper bite was good too from the bottom.

The 57th Annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament had another change on the leader board today.  The 40 ft Winter Custom boats “EZ Boy” reeled in a 556.3 lb blue marlin to grab second overall and 1 st in the outboard level.    For all the current information click the link: http://www.thebigrock.com/leaderboard/2015/2015-tournament-leaderboard
