Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Today was partly sunny.  We had south-west winds at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

Good Luck to all the 22nd Hatteras Village Offshore Open Fisherman.

Up on the Avon beach sea mullet and blow toads were caught.  Around the Buxton beaches bluefish, sea mullet and blow toads were reported.  Cape Point will be closed tonight at 9pm for an unknown time due to nesting black skimmers and least terns.  The 180 meter buffer extends past the driving area to Cape Point.  Over on the Frisco beach some sea mullet were caught.  Down at Hatteras Inlet sea mullet, bluefish and a few flounder were caught.

The inshore boats caught some bluefish, spanish mackerel and a 50lb cobia was caught aboard “Tightlines” Charters today. TIGHTLINES COBIA 50 LB

The offshore boats had excellent dolphin fishing with limits and real good wahoo and a few blackfin tuna.
