Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was a scorcher out there today, we reached a high of 87F.  The winds were light and out of the southwest this morning, switching over to the north-north-west this evening.

Fishing is about the same, Avon is reporting croaker and pompano.  The pier had bluefish, spot, pompano, sea mullet and croaker.  Buxton had reports of spanish mackerel and black drum.  Frisco is reporting sea mullet.  Hatteras had spanish mackerel and sea mullet.

The inshore boats had some catches of red drum and a few releases as well.  They are also doing some clamming as well.

The offshore boats had fair catches of dolphin and blackfin tuna, along with a scattered wahoo bite.  The boats that bottomfished, had catches of triggerfish, grouper and snapper.  There were 4 sailfish and 1 white marlin released today.
