Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Temperatures were up a little more today to the upper 80’s. There was still a few scattered clouds but mostly blue skies. The winds were calm from the North this morning turning to the South at 5-10 mph around noon.
Another good day fishing off the beach. There was sea-mullet, bluefish, and croaker caught in Avon off the beach and pier with some flounder caught off the pier as well. In Buxton and here in Frisco there was a good sea-mullet bite with citation sized fish being caught. In Hatteras there was spanish mackerel, bluefish, and sea-mullet biting.
Good fishing inshore again today. The spanish mackerel and bluefish were biting great just outside the inlet. The drum are biting good with a mix of keeper and yearling fish being caught. Some grey trout were caught as well.
Sailfish are still biting and there are plenty around with a handful being released and more seen. Great dolphin bite with fair wahoo and black-fin tuna fishing. Tilefish were biting great off the bottom.
