Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was nice without the humidity, even though we still had a high of 80.  The winds were out of the northwest this morning and switched to the southeast this evening.

Rodanthe Pier had sea mullet and blow toads today.  Avon Pier had a few puppy drum.  In the evening the pier had a few spanish.  There were spanish caught at the Point area.  Frisco had some puppy drum on the sound side and the ocean side. (Thanks for the report the past few days from the Philly Folks)  Sea mullet have also been scattered up and down all the beaches.

The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel and drum today.

The offshore boats had real good catches of blackfin tuna, good dolphin, triggerfish and vermillion snapper.  A sailfish and a white marlin were released today.
