Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was a beautiful day across Hatteras Island.  We had temperatures in the mid 80’s and the winds switched to the south-south-west this afternoon at 7-9 mph.

The Point area had spanish and bluefish this morning.  Most of the spanish were undersize, but fun to catch. Bluefish has been scattered from Avon to Hatteras.  The sea mullet and pompano bite have been scattered about also.

The inshore boats are catching spanish mackerel, bluefish and albacore.  There is still a few straggler cobia being caught.

The offshore boats had a good wahoo bite today.  The dolphin and blackfin tuna bite was good.  The triggerfish and grouper bite was good also.
