Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had wonderful weather with sunny skies. The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.
Up on the Avon beaches no fish were reported. A few bluefish were caught around the Buxton beaches. Out at Cape Point in Buxton good number of bluefish and spanish mackerel were caught. The Frisco beach had a few puppy drum and sea mullet. On the Hatteras beaches some puppy drum, bluefish, pompano, croaker, sea mullet and flounder were reported.
The inshore boats caught more puppy drum and yearling drum today in the Pamlico Sound. The spanish mackerel bite was pretty good just outside Hatteras Inlet.
The offshore boats had scattered catches of wahoo and dolphin. Some triggerfish were brought up from the bottom.
