Hatteras Island Fishing Report

June 17, 2019

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was sunny with temperatures in the mid 80s. The winds continue out of the southwest around 9-13 mph. Sea surface temperature off Cape point is around 73-76F.

Buxton reports bluefish and some spanish mackerel. We had some croakers reported here in Frisco. Hatteras had reports of spanish mackerel and bluefish.

Inshore boats had catches of spanish mackerel, speckled trout and flounder.

The offshore fleet had a repeat of yesterday with catches of gaffer and bailer size dolphin and some blackfin tuna. Those that bottomfished caught triggerfish, grouper and amberjack. There was also a couple of sailfish released.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Happy Father’s Day to all the GREAT Dads out there!!

Today was sunny with temperatures in the low 80s. The winds were out of the southwest around 5-13 mph. Sea surface temperature off Cape point is around 73-76F.

The beaches in Avon are reporting sea mullet and bluefish. Buxton reports sea mullet, pompano, bluefish and some spanish mackerel.

Inshore boats had catches of spanish mackerel, bluefish and Bonita mackerel.

The offshore fleet had catches of gaffer and bailer size dolphin and some blackfin tuna. Those that bottomfished caught triggerfish, grouper and amberjack. There was also a white marlin and a sailfish released.

Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was sunny with temperatures in the low 80s. The winds picked up throughout the day to around 12mph out of the due South. Sea surface temperature off Cape point is around 73-76F.

High tide: 6:27 am, 7:01 pm and Low tide: 0:40 am, 12:25 pm

Avon has had 3 35+ pound King Mackerel landed off the pier. Frisco beach has had 2 citation Pompano and a Sea Mullet weighed in with us.

Inshore boats had catches of multiple citation Red Drum as well Bluefish, Spanish, and Speckled Trout.

The offshore fleet had fair catches of Mahi with a Blue Marlin release

Today was the 6th day of the 2019 Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament.

Today was sunny with temperatures in the high 70s. Winds started out around 12mph WNW and have since dropped down to around 8mph NW.

High tide: 5:34, 6:13 pm and Low tide: 11:37

North beach had reports of Sea Mullet and Blues. South beach reports of Pompano.

Inshore boats had catches of Bluefish, Spanish, and Speckled Trout.

The offshore fleet had catches of Mahi along with a Yellowfin Tuna for the Big Rock Tournament.

Today was the 5th day of the 2019 Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament.
