    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly cloudy with periods of rain through out the day. Temperatures were in the low 70s. Winds spiked around noon at 15mph then dropped down to mph from the ENE.

    High tide: 3:38 am, 4:26 pm   and   Low tide: 9:55 am, 10:44 pm

    There have been some Pompano being caught off Frisco beach.

    The inshore boats had catches of: Sea Mullet, Speckled Trout, Grey Trout, and Bluefish.

    The offshore fleet stayed at the dock today due to weather.

    Today was the 3rd day of the 2019 Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny, we had temperatures on the upper 70’s.  The winds were out of the southwest today, blowing around 10-20mph. Sea surface temperature off Cape Point is around 76F.

    Hatteras had  pompano, sea mullet and spanish mackerel.  Here at Ramp 49 were a few pompano and sea mullet.  Buxton had bluefish and sea mullet.  Avon Pier had catches of bluefish.

    The inshore boats had excellent catches of bluefish and spanish mackerel.

    The offshore fleet had great catches of gaffer dolphin and blackfin tuna.   They also had sailfish and white marlin releases.

    Today was the first day of the 2019 Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament.  It ended the day with 38 billfish releases and 7 brought back to the weigh station.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had temperatures in the  mid 80s. The winds were SE around 5-10 mph. Sea surface temperature off Cape Point is around 76F.

    Hatteras had small flounder, pompano and sea mullet.  Here at Ramp 49 were a few pompano.  There were spanish seen jumping just out of casting range.  There was even a lost bonefish caught.  Willie Nesbit from California caught it!

    The inshore boats had catches of speckled trout and bluefish.

    The offshore fleet had great catches of gaffer dolphin and blackfin tuna. Along with a few tilefish and grouper.  Sea Creature was one sailfish shy of a Double Grand Slam!  That’s awesome!!  We hope the billfish bite continues this week is The Big Rock Tournament

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had temperatures in the low 70s to mid 80s. The winds were SW at 5-8mph. Sea surface temperature off Cape Point is around 76F.

    High tide: 11:12 am, 11:37 pm   and    Low tide: 5:19 am, 5:04 pm.

    Spanish and Blues at the Inlet. Ramp 44 in Buxton had reports of Sea Mullet.

    Inshore boats had catches of: Speckled Trout, Bluefish, Grey Trout, and Spanish Mackerel. 

    The offshore fleet had catches of: gaffer and bailer mahi, Blackfin Tuna. Along with 2 Blue Marlin releases and a Sailfish.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had temperatures in the low to mid 80s. The winds were onshore at south beach blowing SSW at 12-16 mph. Sea surface temperature off Cape Point is around 76F.

    High tide: 10:17 am, 10:43 pm   and    Low tide: 5:19 am, 5:04 pm.

    Frisco beach had catches of Sea Mullet and Pompano. At Hatteras inlet there were 11 Spanish Mackerel caught as well as some Bluefish.

    Inshore boats had catches of: Puppy’s, Speckled Trout, Sea Mullet, Sting Rays, and Spanish Mackerel. 

    The offshore fleet stayed at the docks today due to strong SW winds. The near shore bottom fishing consisted of Tilefish and Red Snapper.
