• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today we had  cloud and rain, with the sun peeking through at times.  The temperature was in the low 80’s with southwest winds anywhere from 5-15 mph.
    There has been a few fish caught today.  Avon had sea mullet and spanish mackerel.  Buxton had sea mullet and bluefish.  Hatteras had pompano.
    The inshore boats stayed to the docks today.
    The offshore boats had a scattered dolphin bite and a few king mackerel.  They headed out late and in early, all due to the weather.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today we had partly cloudy skies.  The winds were from the south to west at 5-10 mph with gusts up-to 12 mph. The temperatures were in the upper 80’s.
    Up in Avon today sea mullet, spot and bluefish were caught.  The Buxton beaches had a few sea mullet reported.  Over on the Frisco and Hatteras beaches sea mullet and blues were reported.
    The inshore boats had bluefish, puppy drum, small cobia and spanish mackerel.
    Offshore 2 sailfish were released. Boats returned with wahoo and blackfin. Dolphin was scattered. The offshore boat Miss Hatteras caught a 17 lb African Pompano.

    Today we had sunny skies with a heat index of 100 degrees.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.
    Up in Avon today sea mullet and bluefish were caught.  The Buxton beaches had a few sea mullet reported.  Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet were reported.
    The inshore boats had bluefish, puppy drum, cobia and spanish mackerel.
    The offshore boats had scattered dolphin and wahoo. From the Bottom there were triggerfish and sea bass caught.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today we had sunny skies.  The winds were from the northwest at 8-13 mph with wind gust up to 20 mph.  Temperatures were in the upper 80’s.
    In Frisco Puppy Drum where reported.  In Hatteras they are catching Spanish Mackerel.

    Pictured is Micah Nickens from Moyock, NC. with a 3.69 lb Flounder caught at Hatteras Harbor right next to Carolina Girl on a trout rod with 6 lb test line.
    The inshore boats caught Bluefish along with some Red Drum.
    The offshore boats caught Wahoo and scattered Dolphin.

    Today we had sunny skies.  The winds were from the west south-west at 9-12 mph and  the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.
    In Avon Pompano where reported.  In Buxton they are catching Sea Mullet and Spanish Mackerel.
    The inshore boats caught Bluefish and Red Drum.
    The offshore boats caught King Mackerel, gaffer and bailer Dolphin, Wahoo, and Blackfin Tuna. One Sailfish was released.
