• Hatteras Island Storm Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    With a mandatory evacuation order yesterday we have no reports of anyone fishing today.  Everyone is preparing and many more are leaving for Hurricane Florence.
    Starting at 8:30am on Thursday 9/13/18 the Dare County Sheriffs Office will be enforcing NO reentry into Dare County unless you have a Priority 1 Critical Personnel Reentry Pass
    Please stay safe.
    We will be open normal hours Wednesday 6am-9pm and Thursday will open at 6am and most likely will stay till 9pm. Friday is uncertain.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today was a hot one.  We had temperatures in the low 90’s and the winds were out of the south-south-east from 3-9 mph.
    Dare County issued a mandatory evacuation for today at noon, tomorrow for the mainland beginning at 7am.  Everyone be safe!
    We do not have a beach report for today, even though a few folks ventured out before the evacuation was set in place.
    The inshore boats had catches of red drum.
    The offshore boats did make it out.  They came back to the docks with catches of blackfin tuna, dolphin and wahoo.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today was a beautiful day. We had temperatures in the low 80’s and the wind were out of the northeast earlier today and the southeast this evening with winds between 3-7mph.
    Folks are here and are gonna fish while they can.  We don’t have much to report, but we did have reports of bluefish and small flounder here at Ramp 49 today.
    The inshore boats didn’t go out today.
    The offshore boats had catches of dolphin, nice size wahoo, a few blackfin tuna and a descent triggerfish bite as well.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today we had sunny skies.  The winds were from the south-southeast at 2-8 mph with temperatures in the lower 90’s.
    In Buxton Pompano were reported.  In Frisco Cobia, Flounder and Pompano were caught.
    The inshore boats caught Bluefish and Red Drum.
    The offshore boats caught Dolphin, Blackfin Tuna and Wahoo. Bottom fishing produced catches of Triggerfish, Vermillion Snapper, and Black Sea Bass. Two Sailfish were released.
