Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had sunny skies and a nice northerly breeze. The winds were from the north-east at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.
Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches bluefish and sea mullet were caught. Over on the Frisco beach and down in Hatteras sea mullet were reported.
The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel and flounder in the Pamlico Sound today
The offshore boats caught wahoo, blackfin tuna and dolphin. The tilefishing and trigger fish bite was good from the bottom.

Hatteras Island Fishing Report

August 24, 2018

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had mostly sunny skies and no humidity. The winds were from the north-east at 15-20 mph and the temperatures were low 80’s.
Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches bluefish and sea mullet were caught. Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet were reported. Down on the Hatteras beach sea mullet, bluefish, spanish mackerel and a few pompano were reported.
The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel and blue fish in the Pamlico Sound today
The offshore boats had choppy conditions but caught a few wahoo, blackfin tuna, dolphin and plenty of trigger fish today. One white marlin was released today.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had sunny skies. The winds were from the northeast at 7-14 mph with wind gusts up to 22 mph. The temperatures were in the low 80’s.
In Frisco they are catching Pompano and Sea Mullet. In Hatteras Croaker were reported.
The inshore boats caught Red Drum.
Offshore boats caught Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna and Dolphin. Bottom fishing Triggerfish and Amberjack. Hatteras Blue released a White Marlin.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had partly sunny skies. The winds were from the north to northwest at 3-13 mph with wind gusts up to 23 mph. The temperatures were in the low 80’s.
In Avon they are catching Pompano, Sea Robin and Sea Mullet by the pier.
The inshore boats caught citation Red Drum.
Offshore boats caught Wahoo, and Dolphin.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had sunny skies. The winds were from the west south-west at 10-16 mph with wind gusts up to 24 mph. The temperatures were in the mid 80’s.
In Frisco Pompano were reported.
The inshore boats caught Red Drum, Flounder and Bluefish .
Windy day kept the offshore boats at the dock.
