• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today we had sunny skies.  The winds were from the north at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.
    On all beaches Avon south to Hatteras bluefish, sea mullet and spanish mackerel were caught.
    The inshore boats caught  spanish mackerel, king mackerel and bluefish just outside Hatteras inlet.  In the Pamlico Sound bluefish, puppy drum and big drum were reported.    .
    The offshore boats had good Dolphin and Blackfin Tuna catches, a few wahoo and sailfish were caught.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today we had sunny skies and calm winds.  The winds were from the east-north-east at 1-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.
    In Buxton Sea Mullet and Pompano were reported.  Over on the Frisco and Hatteras beaches Sea Mullet, Pompano and some citation Drum were caught.
    The inshore boats caught  Bluefish, Red Drum, Cobia and Clams.  .
    The offshore boats caught Dolphin, Wahoo and Blackfin Tuna. Good Times released a Sailfish.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today we had sunny skies and calm winds.  The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.
    Today the sea mullet and pompano bite was good on the Avon and Buxton beaches.  Over on the Frisco and Hatteras beaches sea mullet, pompano and some flounder were caught.
    The inshore boats caught lots or citation red drum and bluefish in the Pamlico Sound.  .
    The offshore boats caught dolphin and blackfin tuna.  3 sailfish were released.  Some nice trigger fish were caught of the bottom.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    What a way to end the holiday, we had beautiful weather today.  The winds were variable, blowing between 5 & 10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.
    Today there have been bluefish and spanish mackerel this morning at the Point area.  There have also been bluefish, sea mullet and small flounder.  The bluefish are liking pink today.  There was a cobia reported being caught off the surf in Hatteras.
    Pictured below is Morgan Swain with a nice sea mullet, she caught today on the Frisco beach.

    The inshore boats had some catches of red drum and bluefish.
    The offshore boats had catches of blackfin tuna, amberjack, sea bass and dolphin.  Some boats had their limits of dolphin.  There were also a couple of blue marlin releases, with a few more seen.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Everyone is certainly enjoying this beautiful weather we are having this Labor Day Weekend!? We had temperatures in the mid 80’s and winds out of the east and southeast at 7-9 mph.
    Spanish mackerel and bluefish are being caught off Avon Pier.  In Buxton, they are catching bluefish and pompano.  Here in Frisco we have had one citation weighed in and a few smaller ones.  There’s been a few sea mullet scattered as well.  Hatteras had bluefish and spanish mackerel.
    The inshore boats had great catches of bluefish and red drum.
    The offshore boats had great catches of dolphin along with some triggerfish and snapper.
