• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today was hot and humid.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.
    Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches there were sea mullet, bluefish, spanish mackerel and some pompano caught.  On the Frisco and Hatteras beach sea mullet and a few bluefish were reported.
    The inshore boats caught bluefish and spanish mackerel and some nice puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound.
    The offshore boats caught some wahoo and dolphin with a sialfish released.  The trigger fishing and king mackerel bite was good.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    It was a beautiful day across Hatteras Island.  We had temperatures in the mid 80’s and the winds switched to the south-south-west this afternoon at 7-9 mph.
    The Point area had spanish and bluefish this morning.  Most of the spanish were undersize, but fun to catch. Bluefish has been scattered from Avon to Hatteras.  The sea mullet and pompano bite have been scattered about also.
    The inshore boats are catching spanish mackerel, bluefish and albacore.  There is still a few straggler cobia being caught.
    The offshore boats had a good wahoo bite today.  The dolphin and blackfin tuna bite was good.  The triggerfish and grouper bite was good also.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today we had temperatures in the upper 80’s.  The winds were out of the south-south-east at 5-8 mph.
    The Point area has had some spanish mackerel and sea mullet this evening.  The pompano and sea mullet bite has been scattered today.
    The inshore and nearshore boats had catches of spanish mackerel and bluefish.
    The offshore boats had catches of blackfin and yellowfin tuna and a few dolphin.  The wahoo bite was a little slower today.  Those that bottomfished had catches of triggerfish, sea bass and grouper.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today we had sunny skies and a nice northerly breeze.  The winds were from the north-east at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.
    Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches bluefish and sea mullet were caught.  Over on the Frisco beach and down in Hatteras  sea mullet were reported.
    The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel and flounder in the Pamlico Sound today
    The offshore boats caught wahoo, blackfin tuna and dolphin.  The tilefishing and trigger fish bite was good from the bottom.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
    Today we had mostly sunny skies and no humidity.  The winds were from the north-east at 15-20 mph and the temperatures were low 80’s.
    Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches bluefish and sea mullet were caught.  Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet were reported.  Down on the Hatteras beach sea mullet, bluefish, spanish mackerel and a few pompano were reported.
    The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel and blue fish in the Pamlico Sound today
    The offshore boats had choppy conditions but caught a few wahoo, blackfin tuna, dolphin and plenty of trigger fish today.  One white marlin was released today.
