    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    We reached 80F today.  The northeast winds continue at 10-15 mph with some gusts anywhere between 20-29 mph at times.

    Tropical storm Chris continues to kick up the surf.  That has not kept folks from trying their luck.  We did hear of a few spot today.  Avon Pier had a few sea mullet and flounder this morning.

    A few inshore boats ventured out this morning and caught some spanish mackerel and released some big drum.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    We have tropical storm Chris lurking off the Carolina’s over the next couple days, bringing in winds and rain.  Today we had northeast winds anywhere between 7-17 mph, with some gusts 20-30 mph.  The temperature was around 75F.

    With the storm coming up the coast, the currents are getting stronger and waves are getting bigger.  We did have folks go out and give it a good try, we have not had any reports back though.

    The same goes with the inshore and offshore boats, they stayed to the dock today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had gusty winds and a few heavy showers.  The winds were from the north-east at 15-25 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches bluefish and sea mullet were reported. Around the Buxton beaches sea mullet and bluefish were caught.  Over on the Frisco and Hatteras beach citation sea mullet and pompano and bluefish were caught early this morning before the weather arrived.

    The inshore boats had catches of bluefish and puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound today.

    The offshore boats caught a few Dolphin, some wahoo and a blue marlin, 3 white marlin and 2 sailfish released.

    Today was the final day of the 14th Annual Hatteras Grand Slam Tournament.

    There were 4 blue marlin, 6 white marlin and 7 sailfish released.

    Bank Walker weighted a 495.5 lb blue marlin to win the Level VI

    Predator won the Grand Slam Jackpot  with a Blue, White and a Sail released today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with  temperatures in the upper 80’s.  The winds were from the south-east at 5 mph to 10 mph.

    Up on the Avon beaches bluefish and sea mullet were reported. Around the Buxton beaches pompano, sea mullet and bluefish were caught.  Over on the Frisco and Hatteras beach sea mullet, bluefish and pompano were reported.

    The inshore boats had catches of  spanish mackerel, bluefish, puppy drum and big red drum in the Pamlico Sound today.

    The offshore boats caught  lots of Dolphin and some good bottom catches of trigger fish and amberjack.  4 blue marlin, 2 white marlin and 19 sailfish were released.

    Today was the first of 2 days for the 14th Annual Hatteras Grand Slam Tournament.

    There were 3 blue marllin, 2 white marlin and 19 sailfish released.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with  temperatures in the low 90’s.  The winds were from the east south-east at 5 mph to 12 mph.

    In Avon Sea Mullet were reported.  Buxton had catches of Bluefish and Pompano.  Over on the Frisco and Hatteras beach Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel were reported.

    The inshore boats had catches of  Bluefish and Red Drum.

    The offshore boats caught  Dolphin, Wahoo and Blackfin Tuna.  Two Blue Marlin, one White Marlin, and four Sailfish were released today.
