• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies.  The winds were from the south-east at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.

    Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches bluefish and spanish mackerel were reported.  Over on the Frisco and Hatteras beaches bluefish, sea mullet and pompano were caught

    The inshore boats caught bluefish and red drum and a few cobia in the Pamlico sound today.

    The offshore boats had limits of dolphin, some king mackerel and good trigger fishing.  3 sailfish, a white marlin and a blue marlin were released today.

    Several billfish were released today at the 59th Annual Hatteras Marlin Club Tournament with a total of 42 blue marlin, 11 white marlin and 12 sailfish were released.  Out of 42 boats.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies.  The winds were from the southwest at 10 mph  with gust up to 12 mph.  The temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

    Frisco and Hatteras beaches had reports of  sea mullet and pompano.

    Pictured is Paul Stoneburner from Charlottesville, VA.  Paul caught a 2.4 lb Pompano in Frisco.

    The inshore boats had catches of Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish and Red Drum.

    The offshore boats had a few Dolphin.  Two Blue Marlin, one White Marlin, and four Sailfish were released.

    Today started off with rain showers turning to  sunny skies by the afternoon.  The winds were from the east south east from 3 to 9 mph  with gust up to 13 mph.  The temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Avon, Buxton , Frisco and Hatteras beaches had reports of  sea mullet and pompano.

    The inshore boats had catches of Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, Puppy Drum, and some Cobia.

    The offshore boats had a nice catch of Dolphin.  Two White Marlin and one Sailfish were released.

    Today was nice and partly sunny with little humidity.  The winds were from the east at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Avon, Buxton , Frisco and Hatteras beaches had sea mullet, pompano and bluefish catches.

    The inshore boats had catches of spanish mackerel, bluefish, a few cobia and speckled trout

    The offshore boats caught dolphin, grouper, trigger fish and several blue marlin were released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was a nice day on Hatteras Island.  We had some northwest winds this morning, switched to the north this afternoon and blew around 3-13 mph with some gusts in the 20’s.

    Avon is reporting spanish mackerel and bluefish.  Buxton had some bluefish, sea mullet and pompano.  Here in Frisco we had pompano, sea mullet and a nice black drum.  Hatteras had some bluefish today.

    The inshore boats had catches of spanish mackerel, bluefish, black drum and citation size drum.  There were even some small dolphin caught.

    The offshore boats had lots of dolphin.  Those who are chartering this week are fishing the Hatteras Marlin Club Tournament.
