• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hattersas Island.

Today we reached a high of 89F.  All winds came out of a southerly direction, making for the heat.  The winds were anywhere from 7-15 mph.

The beach reports have been slow due to all this weather.  Folks did manage to catch small pompano, sea mullet and a few croaker in Buxton.  There were some sea mullet and spot caught in Frisco.  There were a few puppy drum caught on the sound side also.

Here is a reminder about rip currents and what to look for.  Hatteras Island Rescue Squad teaches a class every Monday morning at 9:30 on rip current safety and beach hazards.

There are no inshore or offshore report for today.
