    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had south-west winds 8-14 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    In Avon they are catching Bluefish and Sea Mullet.  In Buxton Sea Mullet, Spanish Mackerel and Flounder where reported.  On Frisco beach they are catching Sea Mullet and Pompano.  In Hatteras Red Drum were reported.

    The inshore boats caught Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish.

    Offshore boats caught Dolphin and Bite Me released a White Marlin.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had east south-east winds 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Slower fishing today with a few scattered bluefish, spanish mackerel and sea mullet from the Avon and Buxton beaches.  On the Frisco and Hatteras beach sea mullet and bluefish were reported.

    The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel and a few cobia.

    No boats fished offshore that were not in the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament.

    Much better marlin fishing today with a total of 27 billfish released 15 BM, 7 WM, 4 sailfish, and 1 spearfish.  There were scattered catches of dolphin and wahoo.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we started out with temperatures in the mid 80’s, once the storms moved in it dropped 15 degrees.  The winds were around 5 mph, till the storms came in and the winds picked up to about 35 mph.

    The report for today is scattered sea mullet up and down the beaches and a few pompano in Hatteras.

    The offshore boats ventured out and came back early due to good ol’ mother nature.  They had catches of gaffer dolphin, good catches of bailer size dolphin and good catches of blackfin tuna.

    Today was the kickoff off the 60th Annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament.  At the end of Day 1 – A total of 10 billfish were released today- 7 blue marlin, 1 white marlin, and 2 sailfish.  Leader Boards

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was a beautiful day across Hatteras Island.  We had temperatures in the mid 80’s and light south winds this afternoon.

    Avon is reporting spanish mackerel and bluefish today.  Buxton had sea mullet, pompano,  spanish mackerel and bluefish.  Here in Frisco, we had pompano and sea mullet.  In Hatteras there were spanish mackerel and bluefish.

    The inshore boats had lots of bluefish and spanish mackerel and some red drum releases.

    The offshore boats had good catches of gaffer and bailer dolphin and some blackfin tuna.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was sunny with a little bit of humidity.   The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    In Avon they had reports of Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel.  Up on the Buxton beaches some bluefish, sea mullet and spanish mackerel were caught. Over on the Frisco beach Sea Mullet and Bluefish were reported.  Down on the Hatteras beach bluefish and pompano were caught.

    The inshore boats had real good spanish mackerel and bluefish catches along with a few puppy drum fishing in the Pamlico sound.

    The offshore boats had catches of dolphin, yellowfin tuna and black fin tuna, king mackerel and a few wahoo.  A white marlin and sailfish were released.
