• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was sunny.  The winds were from the east south-east at 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

    In Avon they had scattered Sea Mullet, Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel.  Up on the Buxton beaches some bluefish and spanish mackerel were caught. Over on the Frisco beach Sea Mullet and Bluefish were reported.

    The inshore boats have had good spanish mackerel and bluefish catches along with good puppy drum fishing in the Pamlico sound.

    The offshore boats had scattered catches of dolphin, yellowfin tuna, king ,mackerel and a few wahoo.  Three blue marlin, a white marlin and sailfish were released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was sunny with temperatures in the low 80’s.  The winds were from the north-east 4-10 mph with gust up to 19 mph..

    In Avon they had scattered Sea Mullet, Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel.  Frisco beach  citation Pompano, Sea Mullet and Bluefish were reported.

    The inshore boats caught Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, and Bonita Mackerel.

    The offshore boats caught a good amount of Dolphin and Blackfin Tuna.  The bottom fishing caught Triggerfish and Tilefish.  Three sailfish were released and one Blue Marlin was boated by Bite Me.  It weighed in at 596 lbs. and was 124″ in length.

    Pictured below are twins  Cadan and Kindra Lamie from Saltville, VA.  They both caught citation Pompano  Kindra’s was 2.43 lbs and Cadan was 2.15 lbs.  Great job!

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was sunny with temperatures in the low 80’s.  The winds were from the south-west 5-10 mph.

    In Avon they had scattered Sea Mullet and Bluefish.  In Buxton they reported a few Red Drum.  Frisco beach Pompano, Sea Mullet and Red Drum were reported.  Hatteras Inlet they caught Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish.

    The inshore boats caught Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, and Bonita Mackerel.

    The offshore boats caught Wahoo, King Mackerel and a fair amount of Dolphin.  Two of them also released sailfish.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny with calm winds.  The winds were from the south-west switching to the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beach some sea mullet, spanish mackerel and bluefish were caught.  Around the Buxton beaches sea mullet, bluefish, spanish mackerel and puppy drum were caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton spanish mackerel and bluefish were caught on lures today.  Over on the Frisco beach real good pompano and sea mullet fishing with citations caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach puppy drum, sea mullet, pompano and bluefish were reported.

    The inshore boats caught lots of  spanish mackerel and puppy drum today.

    The offshore boats caught lots of gaffer dolphin, a few black fin tuna, king mackerel and a few wahoo.  The tilefishing was good today from the bottom.  2 sailfish were released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was nice without the humidity, even though we still had a high of 80.  The winds were out of the northwest this morning and switched to the southeast this evening.

    Rodanthe Pier had sea mullet and blow toads today.  Avon Pier had a few puppy drum.  In the evening the pier had a few spanish.  There were spanish caught at the Point area.  Frisco had some puppy drum on the sound side and the ocean side. (Thanks for the report the past few days from the Philly Folks)  Sea mullet have also been scattered up and down all the beaches.

    The inshore boats caught spanish mackerel and drum today.

    The offshore boats had real good catches of blackfin tuna, good dolphin, triggerfish and vermillion snapper.  A sailfish and a white marlin were released today.
