• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with high humidity and high heat index.  The winds were from the west 4-7 mph and the temperatures were in the high 80’s.

    Avon getting a few sea mullet and bluefish.  On the Frisco beach sea mullet and pompano were reported.

    The inshore boats had catches of Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish.

    The offshore boats caught Dolphin, Wahoo and Blackfin Tuna.   Bottom fishing was  good with Triggerfish, Black Sea Bass, Tilefish, and Grouper. Three billfish were released.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with high humidity and high heat index.  The winds were from the west south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 90’s.

    Another day of slow fishing with Avon and Buxton beaches getting a few sea mullet and bluefish.  On the Frisco beach sea mullet and pompano were reported and down on the Hatteras beach sea mullet and bluefish were caught.

    The inshore boats had catches of spanish mackerel , some cobia and citation red drum in and around Hatteras Inlet.

    The offshore boats caught lots of bailer dolphin and some grouper and triggerfish.  There was a sailfish and a grand slam caught aboard the “Release” charter boat today.  Pretty work!!!

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had temperatures in the mid 80’s, felt warmer.  The  winds  were from the southwest at 4-15 mph.

    Today was slow overall.  Avon is reporting a few spanish mackerel, bluefish, sea mullet and croaker.  Here in Frisco, north of the ramp there were some nice pompano, citation size.  Hatteras had some bluefish, flounder and pompano.

    The inshore boats had catches of spanish mackerel, bluefish and a few keeper drum.

    There were a few offshore boats out today.  They had catches of gaffer and bailer dolphin, triggerfish and grouper also.  There was also a sailfish released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had a high around 87F.  We started off with light southwest winds, that changed after lunch.  The winds picked up to 13 mph, with some gusts to 20.

    Avon Pier is reporting pompano, spanish mackerel and bluefish.  Buxton had sea mullet and pompano.  Here in Frisco, we had pompano and sea mullet as well.  Hatteras also had pompano.

    The inshore boats had great catches of spanish mackerel.

    The offshore boats had good catches of gaffer and bailer dolphin.  The also had catches of amberjack and tilefish.  There was a white marlin released and a couple of sailfish.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had light winds and sunny skies.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-8 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

    Today on the Avon and Buxton beaches sea mullet, pompano and bluefish were reported.  Over on the Frisco beaches bluefish, sea mullet and pompano were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach Sea mullet, flounder, pompano and bluefish were caught.

    The inshore boats caught lots of Spanish Mackerel and good puppy drum and some citation red drum.

    The offshore boats real good dolphin catches, a few black fin tuna, 2 blue marlin were caught.

    Congratulations to “Honey Hush” for winning the 60th Annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament with their 518.5 lb blue marlin.
