    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Good Luck to all the 4 Plus Surf Fishing Tournament participant’s.

    Today was warm and sunny.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

    Out at Cape Point in Buxton sharks were reported.  Over on the Frisco beach puppy drum, black drum and sharks were reported.

    The inshore boats had good bluefish and puppy drum catches.

    Good fishing offshore with lots of black fin tuna, several yellow fin tuna, a few dolphin and wahoo were caught.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with temps from 65 to the low 70’s.  The winds were  west at 8 to 13 mph in the morning changing to the east in the afternoon.

    They are catching scattered Puppy Drum on Frisco beach.

    Tuna fishing was good with both Blackfin and Yellowfin being caught. There was a scattered Wahoo bite as well as a few Dolphin.

    No inshore charters went out today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    We had a high of 73F and the winds were coming out of the south around 10 mph with max gusts up to 30 mph. Skies were relatively clear throughout the day.

    Several big bluefish were caught today. As well as a few puppy drum caught at Ramp 49

    No reports from inshore or offshore today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    We had a high of 70F and the winds were coming out of the east around 9-15 mph.  There’s a low pressure moving in that’s going to bring more wind and rain.

    The big bluefish were scattered up and down the beaches today.  There were also a few blow toads in Frisco.

    The inshore boats had catches of red drum.

    Even though the offshore boats came in early, they had catches of yellow and blackfin tuna.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was a beautiful across Hatteras Island.  Today we had light northeast winds at 4-10 mph and a high in the low 60’s.

    The big blues have finally made their showing.  They are being caught from Avon to Hatteras.  There have also been some sea mullet, blow toads and a few puppy drum scattered from Buxton to Hatteras.  Pictured below is Raleigh and Justin Fields with a 10lb and 11lb bluefish caught on Frisco beach today.

    The inshore boats had a few red drum today.

    The offshore boats had catches of yellowfin and blackfin tuna, along with a few wahoo, king mackerel and mahi.  Below is a picture of a 78lb wahoo caught on the Hatteras Blue today.
