    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was another cold and windy day with wind chills in the teens.  The winds were from the north at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 20’s.

    A few puppy drum were caught on the Frisco and Hatteras beach today.

    There is no inshore or offshore report for today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Happy New Year!  2018 is off to a cold start.  We had snow flurries for the better part of the day and the temperature gauge only moved 4 degrees up all day.  It started off around 24F and hung around 28F most of the day.  The winds were harsh at times, blowing around 15 mph.

    There were some puppy drum and black drum caught today in Hatteras.

    The duck hunters are out in full force, some ducks were shot.  It should continue to get better with the cold, windy conditions.

    There is no inshore or offshore report for today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It’s a perfect ending for 2017.  We had a high of 35F today.  The winds were out of the north 10-18 mph with higher gusts.  Have a fun and safe New Year’s Eve!  We look forward to seeing everyone in 2018!!

    There were some speckled trout and puppy drum caught today.  They were scattered from the jetties down to Hatteras.

    There is no inshore or offshore report for today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    A beautiful sunny day with temperatures reaching nearly 50. Winds were very light out of the north.

    There were reports of speckled trout and some puppy drum south of the jetty. Late reports of red and black drum, as well as speckled trout off of ramp 55.

    No reports from inshore boats today.

    Offshore boats were reporting really good black fin tuna bite, with a moderate king mackerel bite. A single wahoo and a large shark were also reported.

    Today we had moderate north winds with gusts reaching nearly 30 mph in the afternoon. Scattered showers with temperatures hovering in the mid 40’s throughout the day.

    No reports of caught fish came in today.
