• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was a beautiful day across the Island.  We had highs in the mid 50’s and very little wind.

    The fishing continued to be descent for this time of year.  There were puppy drum, black drum and speckled trout at the jetties.  Near Frisco Pier there was a nice trout bite, lots of keepers.

    The offshore boats that were out today caught triggerfish, king mackerel and blackfin tuna.  Some of the boats are commercial fishing this time of year.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a clear, cool, sunny day with temps hovering around 40 the entire day.  After some overnight gusts out of the north west reaching above 20 mph, the winds calmed to 5 mph and below the rest of the day.

    Fishing near the Frisco Pier and adjacent beaches produced multiple reports of slot sized Black Drum, and a Red Drum. A single keeper Speckled Trout was caught on a Buxton beach this morning.

    4.88 lb Speckled Trout caught today in Buxton.

     

    There is no inshore or offshore report for today.

    Today it was partly sunny with temps starting in the low 50’s and ending up in the low 60’s.  The winds were from the north to west at 5 to 15 mph, with wind gusts from 20 to 24 mph.

    Today we had a cold front move in with strong winds from the North West. Sustained winds in the mid 20s, and gusts over 40. The day started with temps in the low 30s, reaching 40 in the afternoon.
