Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was sunny and humid with little wind. The winds were from the south-west at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.

There were some sea mullet and Pompano caught on the Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras beaches. A few bluefish and sharks caught out at Cape Point in Buxton.

The inshore boats had good catches of red drum , puppy drum and speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound. Outside of Hatteras Inlet bluefish, Spanish mackerel and king mackerel were caught.

The offshore boats had a good dolphin and a few blackfin tuna. Several sailfish were released.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was nice and sunny with calm winds. The winds were from the south at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

Up on the Avon beach sea mullet and bluefish were caught. Up on the Buxton beach sea mullet, bluefish and puppy drum were reported. Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet were caught.

The inshore boats had good catches of red drum, bluefish and speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound.

The offshore boats had good dolphin catches, a few wahoo and black fin tuna reported. Several sailfish were released. There were tilelfish and grouper caught.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was rainy all morning with clearing skies in the afternoon. The winds were from the south-east at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Up on the Avon beach some bluefish and sea mullet were reported. Around the Buxton beaches sea mullet and puppy drum were caught. Over on the Frisco beach some sea mullet and puppy drum were reported.

The inshore boats had catches of red drum, bluefish and speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound.

The offshore boats had good dolphin, a few wahoo and black fin tuna caught. There were some tilefish caught off the bottom too. A couple of sailfish were also released.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had showers off and on throughout the day, with a high of 80F, with very little wind.

The northern beaches, Rodanthe to Avon has reported sea mullet, croaker, puppy drum and bluefish. Buxton reported sea mullet, spot, croaker and pompano, even 1 citation pompano this evening, weighing in at 2.2lbs. Frisco had some over the slot puppy drum, sheepshead, pompano and flounder. Hatteras had flounder and bluefish.

The inshore boats had catches of red drum and speckled trout. Those who fished inshore had great catches of spanish mackerel and bluefish.

The offshore boats had fair catches of gaffer dolphin, few yellowfin tuna, few wahoo and scattered blackfin tuna. Those that bottomfished caught triggerfish and grouper. There was a sailfish and a white marlin released today.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was a nice day on Hatteras Island today. We had a high of 81F. The winds were out of the south-south-west around 5 mph.

Cape Point is reporting sharks today. Here in Frisco there were some sea mullet. Hatteras had bluefish and puppy drum.

The inshore boats had catches of bluefish, puppy drum, spanish mackerel, gray and speckled trout.

The offshore boats had catches of dolphin, grouper, triggerfish and amberjack. There were lots of billfish flags flying on the boats today!
