Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was a nice day on Hatteras Island. Temperatures were in the mid 80’s and winds were out of the easterly direction, blowing anywhere from 8 to 12 mph.

Folks are just getting down, so we are not getting many reports. There were some bluefish and some nice size spanish mackerel caught a here in Frisco Hatteras Inlet this morning.

The inshore boats had a good day. They had catches of both keeper and release drum. They had catches of both speckled and gray trout and some sea mullet. The boats that fished nearshore caught bluefish and spanish mackerel.

The offshore boats had catches of wahoo, dolphin and blackfin tuna. There were also some grouper caught and a sailfish release.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

What a wonderful day it was whether wise. The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Up on the Avon beach bluefish and croaker were caught. Out at Cape Point in Buxton bluefish and spanish mackerel were caught. Over on the Frisco beaches sea mullet and a few bluefish were caught.

The inshore boats had good catches of speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound.

No boats fished offshore today.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Another beautiful day with sunny skies and clam winds. The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s..

What a nice day to be on the beach. Avon beach had bluefish and croaker caught. Out at Cape Point in Buxton “Shelly Island” had some spanish mackerel action today.

The inshore boats had good catches of speckled trout and a few puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound.

The offshore boats had excellent wahoo catches with some limits, a few dolphin and blackfin tuna, triggerfish and grouper from the bottom. One sailfish was released today.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Good News for Hatteras Island’s visitors, business’s and residents. Power is restored and at 12 noon Friday Hatteras Island is open for everyone. We would like to give a big Thank You to Cape Hatteras Electric Cooperative, Tideland Electric Membership, Lee Electrical Construction, New River Electrical, Brunswick Electric, Dare County, North Carolina Department of Transportation and all you helped get this island back up and running.

We had sunny skies and clam winds. The winds were from the south-east at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

This is a great night to flounder gig in the Pamlico Sound.

No beach report today. The weather was nice and I’m sure there were some fish to be had.

The inshore boats are catching speckled trout and puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound.

The offshore boats had good wahoo, a few dolphin and triggerfish and vermilion snapper from the bottom.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Below is the latest update about our Power Outage issue. There is a mandatory evacuation for all visitors. We are looking good for a re entry this weekend. If all goes well.

We had sunny skies and more calm winds. The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Not to many people fishing with the evacuation still in effect. There are some sea mullet and bluefish being caught on the Buxton and Frisco beach.

The inshore boats are catching speckled trout and puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound. In and around Hatteras Inlet bluefish and spanish mackerel were being caught.

The offshore boats had decent wahoo, dolphin and tilefish, triggerfish and grouper from the bottom.
