Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

We had overcast skies with periods of rain throughout the day. The winds were from the south-west at 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Fishing around the Buxton beaches produced some sea mullet. Out at Cape Point in Buxton puppy drum and sharks were reported. A few puppy drum were also caught down at Hatteras Inlet. Pictured here is Jim Price and his grandson Jaedyn with a 23 in and 30 in puppy drum out at Cape Point. Pretty works guys.

The inshore boats were catching puppy drum and big red drum today in the Pamlico Sound.

The offshore boats were kept to the docks today.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

We had some rain this morning, but seemed to avoid it the rest of the day. The temperatures were in the mid 80’s. We had winds out of the south-south-west between 12 and 20 mph with higher gusts.

We have not had any reports for today from the beach, just too rough. I did have someone stop in and show me his catch from yesterday. He fished Hatteras and caught a nice cobia and a few sea mullet. He did not want his picture shared though.

The inshore boats were able to make it out today. They had catches of speckled trout, bluefish, keeper drum and releases.

The offshore boats were kept to the docks today.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had a high of 84F. The winds were out of the south-south-west at 9-16 mph.

Fishing was still on the slow side today. There are still sea mullet being caught up and down the beaches and a few puppy drum in Buxton.

The inshore boats had catches of cobia, red drum, speckled trout and bluefish today.

It was too windy for the offshore boats to make it out.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunny skies and more humidity. The winds were from the south at 15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s. .

Not too much to report from the surf. Some sharks out at Cape Point along with a scattered sea mullet. A few small flounder down around Hatteras Inlet.

The inshore boats caught speckled trout, spanish mackerel, bluefish and puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound today.

The offshore boats had scattered dolphin, some decent black fin tuna and a 2 blue marlin releases.

Today was Day 6 the Final Day of the 59th Annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament

The “Run Off” out of Mordhead City won the 59th Annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament. Congratulations.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunny skies with some humidity. The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

Out at Cape Point in Buxton lots of sharks and some flounder are being caught. A few sea mullet and pompano were caught on the Frisco beach.

The inshore boats caught speckled trout, spanish mackerel and puppy drum the Pamlico Sound today.

The offshore boats had real good dolphin fishing. The marlin bite was excellent too.

Today was Day 5 day of the 59th Annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament.

Pictured is the current 2nd place Blue Marlin caught aboard the “Rehab” with their 506.9 lb blue caught today.
