• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had temperatures in the mid 70’s.  It was very breezy.  The winds were out of the west-south-west, 8-17 mph.

    There were big bluefish around again today.  Todd Beaver from Concord NC caught this 8 1/2lb this morning near Frisco Pier.  There were some drum and bluefish at Hatteras last night also.

    The inshore boats had nice catches of bluefish.  The offshore boats stayed at the docks today with the way the winds were.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Happy Easter!!

    Today we had beautiful sunny skies.  It was 77F and southwest winds blowing between 12 and 17 mph.

    The Big Bluefish are around again today.  They are catching them mostly on topwater poppers and lures, with some on bait.  Their presence isn’t as strong as yesterday, but they are still here.  There were some smaller ones as well.  Pretty much from Avon down to Hatteras.  There’s been some sea mullet around also.  We’ve got a few pictures to share with you.  The first one is Justin Byland with a 9 1/2lb bluefish he got this morning.

    The second and third is Lewie and Adam with their catch of bluefish, all caught in Hatteras.

    The inshore boats had catches of bluefish today.

    The offshore boats had catches of blackfin tuna, dolphin and scattered king mackerel and wahoo.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Beautiful weather again today. There was a few more clouds in the sky but the temperatures were still in the Mid 70’s. Winds were from the South at 5-10 mph.

    Good fishing off the beach today. The bluefish were biting all over the beaches. There was Nice sized red drum biting at the point also. Here in Frisco there was sea-mullet and blow toads.

    Here is Shannon Williams with a nice bluefish she caught today near the point.

    Inshore today there was great fishing again. There was bluefish and puppy drum caught as well as citation sized red drum again today.

    Here is the party aboard the Tightline with Capt. Aaron with some of their catch.

    Offshore it was another great day off black-fin tuna fishing. The wahoo and yellow-fin tuna were scattered.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Beautiful weather today. Temperatures were in the lower 70’s throughout the day. The winds were 5-10 mph from the North-East most of the day.

    Fair fishing off the beach today. There was puppy drum and sea-mullet off the beach and at point in Buxton today. Here in Frisco there was bluefish and puppy drum caught. In Hatteras there was bluefish biting.

    Inshore today there was a great red drum bite, the citations were piling up. There was a great bluefish bite as well.

    Offshore today there was a great black-fin tuna bite. Yellow-fins and some dolphin were biting as well.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was a little cooler with the northerly winds.  The winds were from north at 10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s.

    Up on the Avon beach good sea mullet, blow toads, puppy drum and bluefish were caught.  Around the Buxton beach a few sea mullet and blow toads were caught.  Over on the Frisco beach a few puppy drum, sea mullet and blow toads were reported.

    The inshore boats had lots bluefish catches in and around Hatteras Inlet.

    No boats out offshore today.
