• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a nice day on Hatteras Island, we had a high around 85F.  The winds were northeast between 5 and 10 mph.

    Avon Pier had a 69″ tarpon, sea mullet, spot and croaker.  On Avon beach there were sea mullet, and croaker.  Buxton beach had puppy drum, pompano and sea mullet.  Frisco beach had puppy drum and pompano.  Hatteras beach reports bluefish, pompano, spanish mackerel and puppy drum.

    The inshore boats had good catches of puppy drum and nice catches of spots.  The offshore boats had good catches of dolphin, some blackfin, and scattered wahoo .

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The weather was good for a day in the water. the temperature was in the high 80’s. Winds were south east 5-10 mph. Late in the afternoon thunderstorms showed up.

    Fishing from the beach was a lot better today. From the Avon beach there was spanish mackerel, pompano, spot, sea mullet and croaker caught. In Buxton the pompano, sea mullet and bluefish were biting. From the beach here in Frisco there was sea mullet, croaker and some small flounder. In Hatteras the  spanish mackerel, bluefish, sea mullet and flounder were caught.

    The 11th Annual Hatteras Grand Slam Tournament had another great dayfishing. there was 5 blue marlins, 2 white marlins, and 4 sailfish caught today.Click the link to see all of the tournament updates.

    Inshore today there wasn’t much going on. Few boats went out clamming and got their limit. For the fishing there was a good red drum bite with a handful of cobia still around.

     

    Offshore today there was excellent catches of Dolphin. Wahoo bites were fair today and some Blackfin Tuna made it into the dock. From the bottom there was some amberjack caught.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The weather was great today. The temperature was in the high 80’s. Winds were west in the morning 10-15 mph turning east later in the night..

    From the beach the fishing was slower.  In Avon today there was sea-mullet and croakers caught. In Buxton there was some croaker around. Nothing to report from the Frisco beach. In Hatteras there was bluefish, puppy drum and flounder biting.

    The 11th Annual Hatteras Grand Slam Tournament had a great day with a blue  marlin weighed in by the Good times. There was also 9 sailfish released. Click the link to see all of the tournament updates.

    Inshore today the red drum fishing was great. There was also some good flounder fishing.

    Greg Wagner got to go fishing today back in the sound and caught this nice cobia. Pretty work guys.

    Offshore today there was a good dolphin bite with a good amount of bailers. The blackfin tune were biting today also.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly sunny.  We had west south-west winds 10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches there were croakers and sea mullet reported.  Around the beaches of Buxton sea mullet, puppy drum and bluefish were reported.  The Frisco beaches had  some croakers and bluefish.  Down on the Hatteras beaches one cobia, bluefish and sea mullet were caught.

    Today was the start of the 11th Annual Hatteras Grand Slam Tournament.  Lots of action today with 11 sailfish and a blue marlin released.  Click the link to see all of the tournament updates.

    The inshore boats had really  good red drum fishing with some citations in the Pamlico Sound..  The spanish mackerel bite was good as well..

    The offshore boats had good dolphin fishing, a few wahoo and black fin tuna.  A good sailfish bite was reported too.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny.  We had south-west winds 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches there were croakers and sea mullet reported.  Around the beaches of Buxton only some croakers, sea mullet, pompano and bluefish were reported.  The Frisco beaches had lots of grass.  Down on the Hatteras beaches one cobia, croakers, bluefish, puppy drum and sea mullet were caught.

    Tomorrow is the start of the 11th Annual Hatteras Grand Slam Tournament. Good Luck to all who is fishing.

    The inshore boats had another day of good red drum releases with some citations in the Pamlico Sound..  The gray trout and bluefish bite was good too.

    The offshore boats had excellent marlin fishing with “Native Son” catching a Grand Slam.  11 blue marlin, 9 sailfish and 3 white marlin were released today. A few dolphin, wahoo and black fin tuna were caught.
