    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was a bit cloudy.  The winds were out of the northeast all day, blowing 9-12 mph.  The winds should switch to the north tonight.

    Avon reports blow toads, sea mullet and bluefish.  Buxton reports bluefish and sea mullet.  Frisco had a few sharks today.  Hatteras had bluefish.

    There were a few nice red drum caught today. The offshore boats brought back in some nice dolphin.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a cloudy day with scattered rain showers. The temperatures were around 60 and winds were north-west 5-10 mph laying out as the day went on.

    In Avon there was sea-mullet, bluefish, flounder, croaker, puppy drum, and blow toads. Buxton had a good bite from bluefish and sea mullet with a scattered gray trout. Here in Frisco there was puppy drum, sea-mullet, flounder, and bluefish biting. From the beach in Hatteras there was flounder, bluefish, sea-mullet, and puppy drum caught.

    Offshore today the gaffer dolphin were biting great. The blackfin tuna were biting today with a scattered yellow fin caught also.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a cool sunny day today. This morning the winds were North 5-10 mph. Later in the day the winds shifted to the south-east. The temperatures were in the mid 50’s throughout the day.

    From the beach today there fishing was fair. From the beach in Avon there was sea-mullet and bluefish caught. In Buxton the blow toads, sea-mullet, and bluefish were biting. Here in Frisco there was sea-mullet, puppy drum and some yearling drum caught. In Hatteras the flounder were biting along with bluefish, sea-mullet, and blow toads.

    No inshore report for today.

    Offshore today there was gaffer dolphin caught and blackfin tuna caught.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a cool but sunny day. The winds were North-East 10-15 mph calming down as the day went on. The temperature was in the mid 50’s.

    From the beach in Avon there was sea-mullet, blow toads, and puppy drum. From the pier in there was spot, grey trout, and some croaker. In Buxton the was bluefish, sea-mullet, and blowtoads caught. From the beach here in Frisco there was nice size sea-mullet and a good bite of puppy drum. Hatteras beach the small flounder were biting along with puppy drum, bluefish, sea-mullet and blow toads.

    Daniel Elmakis Of Glen Allen Va brought us a 1lb 10oz citation Sea-mullet that he caught today here in Frisco.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was another beautiful and sunny day with a little more wind.  We had south-west winds 10-20 mph and the temperatures reached 70 degrees.

    Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches sea mullet, blow toads and bluefish were reported.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton  lots of sharks and some yearling red drum.  Chances are the Bid red drum are being caught tonight for those who made the trek.   The Frisco beaches had black and red drum caught  Down on the Hatteras beaches some bluefish, sea mullet and blow toads and a few puppy drum were caught.  The picture below is Joe Simons with a nice puppy drum and black drum caught off the Frisco Beach over Ramp 49.  Pretty work Joe.  joe simons drums

    The inshore boats had good catches of puppy drum and bluefish.

    The offshore fleet caught a mess of black fin tuna, a few wahoo, dolphin and yellowfin tuna.
