Another warm and sunny day here on the island. The temperatures were around 70 and the winds were south-west 10-20 mph.

From the beach the fishing was pretty good. In Avon the blow toads and croakers were around the pier. In Buxton the puppy drum and sea-mullet were biting great. There was also a handful of blow toads caught. From the Frisco beach there was puppy drum, black drum, and sea-mullet caught. In Hatteras there was blow toads and puppy drum caught.

Inshore today there was a good bite of puppy drum. A few boats went clamming and came back with a good amount.

Not a lot of offshore fishing today because of wind. For the few boats that went out they had good blackfin tuna bites and a handful of amberjacks were caught.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunny skies and warmer temperatures..  The winds were north at 5 mph switching to the south-west at 15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 60’s.

Out at Cape Point in Buxton there were some nice flounder caught.  The puppy drum and yearling drum bite was pretty good.  With the south-west winds tomorrow the big red drum bite could be really good.  Around the Frisco and Hatteras Beach some puppy drum, a few bluefish, sea mullet and blow toads were reported.

The inshore boats had a few puppy drum today in the Pamlico Sound.

The offshore boats had quite the variety of fish to bring back to the dock today.  They caught some black fin and yellowfin tuna, a few dolphin and wahoo and the bottom fishing was really good.  Limits of sea bass and triggerfish, b liners, grouper and snapper were all caught.  Some amberjack and albacore were in the mix too.  The picture below is from the “Good Times” charter boat today with a nice grouper they caught along with several other bottom fish that I listed above.  Pretty work Captain Andy.
