    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The weather was beautiful today. The temperature was in the upper 60’s with light winds from the north in the morning turning west in the afternoon.

    Avon today the puppy drum, spot, and sea-mullet were biting. From the beach in Buxton there was bluefish and puppy drum. From the Frisco beach the fishing was slow but some bluefish and sea-mullet were biting. Hatteras beach had all kinds of fish caught today, puppy drum, bluefish, sea-mullet, spot, flounder, and even some croaker.

    Inshore the puppy drum are still biting good. At night the gigging has been great with some nice sized flounder.

    Off shore today was one of the better days this week. A few boats brought in limits off dolphin along with wahoo, king mackerel, and a scattered blackfin tuna bite. From the bottom there was triggerfish and some gray tilefish.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny with north west winds and temperatures in the lower 60’s. it was a great day to be out fishing.

    Avon beaches had reports of bluefish, black drum, sea-mullet, and flounder. In Buxton the bluefish and puppy drum were biting. This morning from the Frisco beach the puppy Drum were biting great. There was also some blues and sea-mullet. In Hatteras the was bluefish, nice sized flounder, puppy drum, and pompano.

    No inshore boats fished inshore today.

    Offshore today there was only a few king mackerel caught.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly sunny..  The winds were from the north-west at 10-15 mph.  The temperatures were in the lower 60’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches some puppy drum, big red drum and sea mullet were caught.  Around the Buxton beaches there were bluefish, sea mullet and puppy drum reported.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton there were catches of bluefish, puppy drum and big red drum.  Over on the Frisco beach some puppy drum were reported.  Down on the Hatteras beaches bluefish and puppy drum were reported.

    No inshore boats fished inshore today.  The few boats that fished offshore caught some king mackerel.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was overcast with increasing winds by the late afternoon.  The winds were from the north-west at 10-15 mph increasing to 15-20 mph.  The temperatures were in the mid to upper 50’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches some puppy drum, spot and sea mullet were caught.  Around the Buxton beaches there were bluefish, sea mullet and some puppy drum reported.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton there were decent catches of bluefish and puppy drum..  Over on the Frisco beach some sea mullet, puppy drum and flounder were reported.  Down on the Hatteras beaches sea mullet, bluefish, pompano and puppy drum were reported.

    No boats fished today inshore or offshore due to the gusty north-west breeze.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly sunny and calm with cooler temperatures. The winds were from the west south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches some red drum and sea mullet were caught.  Around the Buxton beaches there was real good bluefish action and puppy drum caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton lots of bluefish were caught on lures and a few on cut bait.  The yearling drum and puppy drum were caught too.  Over on the Frisco beach some decent bluefish action and a few puppy drum were reported.

    The inshore boats had a real good day of speckled trout fishing in the Pamlico Sound.
    The offshore boats caught dolphin, blackfin tuna and a few wahoo and king mackerel with good trigger fishing from the bottom.
