• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island..

    Today has been sunny again with calm winds.  The winds were from the north at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the low 60’s.

    Around the Buxton beaches there were catches of bluefish and some decent speckled trout fishing this morning.  Out at Cape Point there were puppy drum reported.  On the Frisco beaches some puppy drum, sea mullet and really good catches of speckled trout were reported.  Down on the Hatteras beaches bluefish, flounder and puppy drum were reported.

    No boats fished inshore and the offshore boats caught lots of king mackerel, some black fin tuna, amberjack and albacore today..

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island..

    Today has been sunny with cam winds.  The winds were from the north at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 50’s.

    Around the Buxton beaches there were catches of bluefish, sea mullet, a few puppy drum, speckled trout and flounder.  Out at Cape Point there were puppy drum reported.  On the Frisco beaches some puppy drum, sea mullet and pretty good catches of speckled trout were reported.  Down on the Hatteras beaches bluefish, flounder, puppy drum and sea mullet were reported.

    No boats fished inshore and the offshore boats caught lots of king mackerel and some wahoo today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was just beautiful.  We had clear, sunny skies with a temperature of 65F.  We had light southwest winds this afternoon.  Hardly any wind at all.

    It’s December and there’s still some big drum around.  There were some caught at Avon Pier and Cape Point today.  In Buxton there were sea mullet, speckled trout, bluefish, flounder and black drum.  Down in Hatteras there were some flounder caught.

    One boat went out today.  It came back with king mackerel, blackfin tuna and albacore.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a beautiful day here on Hatteras Island.  We had a high of 61F, west winds this morning, switched to the southwest after lunch.  It blew anywhere from 10 to 17 mph this afternoon.

    Avon beach had speckled trout and some sea mullet.  Avon Pier had a few drum, sea mullet and speckled trout.  Buxton had reports of sea mullet and speckled trout.  Out at Cape Point there were bluefish, puppy drum and flounder.  Frisco beach had speckled trout, bluefish and sea mullet.  Hatteras had sea mullet, blow toads, bluefish and puppy drum.

    There were some inshore boats that went out, they caught some red drum.

    The offshore boats had excellent catches of blackfin tuna and some king mackerel.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island..

    The weather today was great for fishing. The winds were north and very calm. the sun was shining and the temperature was in the mid 40’s.

    From the beach today the fishing was great where ever you were. In Avon there was puppy drum, sea-mullet, speckled trout, bluefish caught. From the pier there was big red drum caught. In Buxton the flounder, drum, and bluefish were biting. In Frisco there was speckled trout, caught around the pier. The bluefish, sea-mullet, and even some flounder were caught all over the beach in Frisco. In Hatteras there was puppy drum, flounder, bluefish, and some blow toads caught.

    Inshore today the puppy drum were biting great.

    Offshore today there was a great bit from the blackfin tuna and the king mackerel. The live baiting for kings was great.
