Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was windy with rain most of the day.. The winds were from the south-west at 15-25 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.

Up on the Avon beaches some bluefish were reported. Around the Buxton beaches some bluefish, black drum and puppy drum were caught. Over on the Frisco beach some bluefish were reported. Down on the Hatteras beach some bluefish and flounder were caught.

There is no reports from the Inshore or offshore boats today due to the rough sea conditions.

Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was windy with sunny skies. The winds were from the south-east at 15-20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s. We have a low pressure coming through tomorrow bringing gusty winds and lots of rain. South winds 25-30 mph and thunderstorms are in the forecast.

Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches some bluefish, sea mullet and black drum were reported. Over on the Frisco beach some bluefish and puppy drum were reported. Down on the Hatteras beach some bluefish, puppy drum and pompano were caught.

The inshore boats had some decent puppy drum fishing in the Pamlico Sound.

The offshore boats had decent dolphin and wahoo catches

Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had partly cloudy skies with a high of 79F. The winds were out of the southeast, 9-16 mph.

Avon beach had puppy drum, pompano, flounder, sea mullet, bluefish and black drum. Buxton beach reports at the jetties puppy drum and sea mullet. Cape Point, bluefish and puppy drum. Frisco beach had small bluefish and puppy drum. Hatteras reports bluefish, blowtoads, pompano and sea mullet.

The inshore boats caught red drum and spanish mackerel. The offshore boats had catches of dolphin and wahoo.

Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had partly cloudy skies with a high around 72F. We had north-east winds today, anywhere from 5 to 15 mph. It’s suppose to turn to the east-south-east, then the south-east tomorrow.

Cape Point had reports of bluefish, puppy drum and flounder. Some of the flounder were keepers. Frisco had reports of bluefish. Hatteras had reports of bluefish, sea mullet, blowtoads, pompano and flounder. Meagan McElwain caught this nice big drum fishing up on the north beach this evening. Pictured below is Meagan, JT and her nice big red drum.

The inshore boats had good catches of puppy drum. The boats that fished nearshore had good catches of king mackerel, in the 35-50lb range. The offshore boats had fair catches of wahoo and dolphin. The blackfin and yellowfin tuna were scattered.

Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

The weather today was great for fishing. The temperature was in the upper 70’s with a nice breeze from the south west at 10-15mph. The sun was shining with a few scattered clouds and rain setting in later in the night.

From the beaches today the fishing was great. In Avon the sea-mullet, blowtoads, bluefish and spot were biting. In Buxton the puppy drum and big drum were biting at the point. From the Frisco beaches and black drum puppy drum and bluefish were biting. Hatteras beach had reports of black drum bluefish and pompano.

iInshore today the bluefish and drum fishing was great. Boats that fish near shore today caught some nice size king mackerel.

Offshore today the wahoo and dolphin fishing continued to be good for the boats. There was a few sailfish released today also.
