• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly cloudy with a high around 73.  Winds were from the north-north-west at 10-5 mph, shifting to the north-east this afternoon.

    Buxton had reports of puppy drum and citation size croaker.  Here in Frisco, we had puppy drum and bluefish.  Down in Hatteras, there were reports of flounder, puppy drum and bluefish.

    The inshore boats continue to catch their limits of red drum.  The offshore boats had good wahoo catches today, limits of bailer size dolphin and some gaffer size.  Those doing bottom fishing have been catching triggerfish.  There was one sailfish release today. The picture below is a puppy drum caught on “Tightline Rca Charters”

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy with a high of 75.  Winds from the north-west at 5-15 mph, shifting to the south-west this afternoon.

    Buxton had reports of puppy drum, bluefish, flounder, spot, sea mullet and black drum.  Frisco beach had puppy drum, spot and bluefish.  Hatteras beaches had puppy drum, spot and bluefish.

    The inshore boats are catching lots of red drum along with some bluefish and trout.  The offshore boats had good catches of wahoo and dolphin, along with a few yellowfin and blackfin tuna.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy with a high of 75 degrees.  Winds were from the north-north-east at 10-15 mph.

    Buxton beaches had reports of puppy drum and bluefish.  Frisco beaches had reports of puppy drum, bluefish, spot and sea mullet.  On down in Hatteras there were  puppy drum and sea mullet.

    Another good day of inshore fishing.  Good red drum catches all around, with boats releasing 15 or more.  The offshore is back in business after a few windy days off.  They had catches of wahoo, blackfin tuna and dolphin.  Pictured below is Cameron and Adam who fished with “Sea Creature Sportsfishing” today. These boys did all the work, caught dolphin, a wahoo and a blackfin tuna.

    Today was mostly cloudy with a high of 73.  Breezy, winds from the north-north-east at 20 to 25 mph with gusts to 30 mph.

    The Buxton beaches reported some puppy drum and bluefish.  Frisco had reports of puppy drum, bluefish and sea mullet.  Hatteras had reports of puppy drum, bluefish, spot and a few flounder.

    The inshore boats had good red drum catches with releases today.  The winds kept the offshore boats in again.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy with temps around 75.  The winds were blowing north-north-east at 20-30 mph, with gusts to 35 mph.

    Folks are walking to the jetties in Buxton and catching puppy drum and small bluefish.  There is a few guys walking all the way to Cape Point and catching drum there as well.  In Frisco around the Frisco Pier and down toward the bath house folks have caught puppy drum, small bluefish, pompano, blow toads and a few spot. Hatteras had reports of puppy drum, small bluefish, sea mullet and spot.

    The inshore report for today is red drum.  There is no offshore report for today.
