    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Sunny skies again today. The winds this morning were from the South-West. Early afternoon it shifted to North then shifted again in the late afternoon to East but stayed 5-10 mph throughout the day. The temperature was in the upper 70’s.

    In Avon today there was a little bit of everything. Sea-Mullet and Spot from the beach and Spanish Blues and Croaker from the pier. From the Frisco beaches we had Sea-Mullet and Pompano. No report from Hatteras or Buxton.

    Inshore today the boats brought in Drum and Spanish.

    Offshore today there was limits of Dolphin with a mix of gaffers and bailers. A few Yellowfin  and Blackfin Tuna were released. Also a White Marlin released

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had mostly sunny skies. The winds were from the south-west at 15-20 mph.  The temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    On the Avon beach there were some spot and sea mullet reported.  Around the Buxton beaches some sea mullet and spot were reported.  Over on the Frisco beach we had catches of sea mullet and pompano and a 28 lb cobia.

    The inshore boats had good catches of puppy drum and a 78 lb cobia caught aboard the “Adventure” charter boat.

    The offshore fleet had a good day of dolphin fishing with limits of bailers and a few blackfin and yellowfin tuna.  There was good tilefishing and a sailfish released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with more south-west wind.  The winds were from the south-west at 15-20 mph.  The temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    On the Avon beach there were some spot, sea mullet, a few puppy drum and flounder caught.  Up around the Buxton beaches some sea mullet and spot were reported.  Over on the Frisco beach we had catches of sea mullet and puppy drum .  Down on the Hatteras beach there ware some nice pompano and flounder caught with a few sea mullet also reported.

    The inshore boats had a bumpy day but good catches of puppy drum were reported.

    The offshore fleet had a great day of marlin fishing with 5 white marlin 3 blue marlin and a sailfish released.  The dolphin fishing was good with some limits and a few blackfin tuna.  The picture below is from the “Godspeed” charter boat with a nice blue marlin released today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with some wind.  The winds have been from the south-west at 10-15 mph with some higher gust.  The temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beach there were some spot, sea mullet and croakers caught.  Around the Buxton beaches some sea mullet were reported.  Over on the Frisco beach we had some sea mullet and flounder reported.  Down on the Hatteras beach there ware a few pompano, some sea mullet and flounder caught.  On the sound side we had a great speckled trout caught around dark tonight.  A 6 lb 11 oz speckled trout.  Pretty work!!!

    The inshore boats had good catches of puppy drum and a few gray trout.

    The offshore fleet had decent gaffer dolphin fishing with scattered yellowfin and black fin tuna fishing.  There were 2 blue marlin and a white marlin released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies.  We have had steady southwest winds around 15 mph, with an occasional higher gust.  The temperature reached a high around 81F.

    Avon beach had reports of sea mullet.  Buxton beach had some nice pompano, a few citation size.  Ramp 49 had some sea mullet, spot and puppy drum.  Hatteras had some Spanish mackerel and also a nice cobia.

    The inshore boats caught trout, flounder and drum.  Those that ventured nearshore caught Spanish mackerel and bluefish.  Pictured below is Mason Wyrick with a nice puppy drum he caught in the sound this afternoon.

    The offshore boats came back to the docks with lots of dolphin, scattered yellowfin and blackfin tuna and a few tilefish.  There were several sailfish released today.  Pictured below is the Hatteras Blue with a sailfish release and the Sea Creature with a yellowfin tuna.
