• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with lots of humidity.  The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s

    Today on the Buxton and Frisco beaches sea mullet and pompano were reported.  There were a few spanish mackerel and bluefish caught out at Cape Point on lures.  The Hatteras beaches had lots of bluefish, a few spanish mackerel, sea mullet, flounder and spot were reported.

    The inshore boats had limits of puppy drum and good bluefish and gray trout catches in the Pamlico Sound.

    The offshore boats had excellent wahoo catches with lots of citations and some dolphin with a few sailfish released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s  

    Today on the Buxton beaches the water was a little dirty.  There were a few sea mullet and bluefish caught. Out at Cape Point a few bluefish were caught on lures.  On the Frisco beach sea mullet and bluefish were also caught.  The Hatteras beaches had bluefish, sea mullet, flounder, a few puppy drum and spot were reported.

    The inshore boats had good speckled trout fishing with limits of puppy drum and good bluefish catches in the Pamlico Sound.

    The offshore boats had a few dolphin and wahoo catches with a several sailfish released.   The picture below is one of the sailfish released by the “Godspeed” charter boat today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 90’s  

    Today on the Buxton beaches and at the lighthouse jetties there were sea mullet and sheepshead caught.  Out at Cape Point a few spanish mackerel and bluefish were caught on lures.  On the Frisco beach sea mullet and pompano were caught.  The Hatteras beaches had bluefish, sea mullet,  flounder and pompano reported.

    The inshore boats had another day of real good speckled trout fishing with excellent puppy drum fishing as well in the Pamlico Sound. The picture below was from late yesterday afternoon with Dean Taguwa catching one of several puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound.

    The spanish mackerel and bleufish were biting along the beaches near shore pretty good too.  The offshore boats had good dolphin and wahoo catches with a couple of sailfish released. The picture below is Kai Conner with his dolphin (mahi mahi) that he caught today while fishing offshore.  Pretty work Kai!!!

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had another sunny day with crystal clear water all day.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s  

    On the Buxton beach there were sea mullet, pompano, spot and croaker caught.  Out at Cape Point the spanish mackerel and bluefish fishing was pretty good on lures.  On the Frisco beach sea mullet, black drum and pompano were caught.  The Hatteras beaches had bluefish, sea mullet,  flounder, pompano and spot reported.

    The inshore boats had real good speckled and gray trout fishing with a few puppy drum caught in the Pamlico Sound. The spanish mackerel and bleufish are biting along the beaches near shore.  The offshore boats had good dolphin and wahoo catches and a few king mackerel, yellowfin and blackfin tuna.  1 white marlin, 2 blue marlin and 3 sailfish were released.  Below is the “Whatever” charter boat with their white marlin catch today.

    Today we had sunny skies and crystal clear water all day.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s  

    On the Buxton beach there were pompano, bluefish and sea mullet caught.  Out at Cape Point the spanish mackerel fishing was really good on lures as well as a few bluefish.  On the Frisco beach sea mullet and pompano were caught.  The Hatteras beaches had bluefish, croaker, flounder, pompano and spot reported.

    The inshore boats had good puppy drum and speckled trout fishing with a few gray trout caught in the Pamlico Sound. The spanish mackerel and bleufish were biting along the beaches near shore.  The offshore boats had good dolphin and excellent citation wahoo catches and a few king mackerel and blackfin tuna.  One sailfish was released.  Below is the “Whatever” charter boat with their catch today.
