Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island. Another beautiful day on the island.  We had clear skies, a light south-east breeze and temperatures in the mid 70’s.  This afternoon, the wind switched a little and blew straight out of the south and became a little cloudy. Today was a good day to be on the beach fishing.  Buxton beaches had small bluefish, sea mullet and blow toads.  For those that made the walk to Cape Point this evening, it was worth it, citation red drum.  Ramp 49 had a few puppy drum, sea mullet and blow toads.  Ramp 55 in Hatteras had flounder, blow toads and sea mullet.  Pictured below is Kenny Minnes, Kevin McCabe, Brett Barley’s citation red drum and a nice sunset pic from Cape Point. Today was another beautiful day on the island. We had sunny skies with West-South-West winds at 5-10mph that shifted to South-South-West winds late in the afternoon. The temperature was in the upper 60’s to lower 70’s throughout the day.

The fish were all over the beaches today. In Buxton there were sea-mullet and drum caught. In Frisco there were reports of drum, sea-mullet and blow-toads, also even a stray croaker.

Puppy drum bites were excellent inshore today.

Offshore today the bite seemed to be the best on the bottom. Although there were some dolphin and blackfin tuna caught trolling, the triggers, grouper, snapper, amberjack, and seabass were the hot ticket today.
