• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was really nice.  The winds were from the east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s  

    On the Buxton beach there were sea mullet and bluefish reported.   The Frisco beach had reports of sea mullet, pompano and bluefish  The Hatteras beaches had some flounder, bluefish and puppy drum catches..

    The inshore boats caught some puppy drum, a few speckled and gray trout in the Pamlico Sound.   A few spanish mackerel and bluefish were caught around Hatteras Inlet. Offshore conditions were great today.  Boats had decent dolphin and citation wahoo fishing, with some king mackerel and black fin tuna mixed in.   4 blue marlin, 4 sailfish and a white marlin were released today.  The picture below is from Capt Ty Luckett who owns Kite Hatteras and ventures offshore from time to time with a blue marlin.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had nice weather.  The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s  

    On the Buxton beach there were more sea mullet and pompano reported.   The Frisco beach had reports of sea mullet and puppy drum   The Hatteras beaches had some flounder, spot, bluefish and pompano caught.

    The inshore boats had real good puppy drum fishing and a few speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound.   The spanish mackerel and bluefish were caught further down the beach off of Ocracoke. The offshore boats had decent dolphin and wahoo fishing, with some king mackerel mixed in.   2 sail fish and a blue marlin were released today.  The picture below is the “Bite Me” charter boat with their sailfish release today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had a few rain showers throughout the day.  The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s  

    On the Buxton beach there were more sea mullet, pompano and bluefish reported.   The Frisco beach had reports of sea mullet and pompono   The Hatteras beaches had some sea mullet, flounder, spot, bluefish and pompano caught.

    The inshore boats had real good puppy drum catches, some big red drum and a few speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound.    The offshore boats had good dolphin fishing, decent wahoo catches and a few black fin tuna.  A sail fish and a white marlin were released today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was stormy early with rain and lighting.  Most of the day was overcast with some light rain. The winds were from the south-west at 10-20 mph.  The temperatures were in the upper 80’s  

    On the Buxton beach there were sea mullet, pompano and blues reported.   The Frisco beach had reports of puppy drum.  The Hatteras beaches had some sea mullet, flounder, bluefish and pompano caught.

    The inshore boats had real good speckled trout catches, bluefish and some puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound.    The offshore conditions were rough today with only two boats out.  Their were a few wahoo, dolphin and amberjack caught.

    Today was nice with sunny skies.  The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph.  The temperatures were in the low 80’s  

    On the Buxton beach there were a  bluefish, sea mullet and a few pompano reported.   The Frisco and Hatteras beaches had some sea mullet and pompano.

    The inshore boats caught bluefish, Puppy drum, a few big red drum and a few speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound.    The offshore boats had good bailer dolphin and blackfin tuna fishing with a few wahoo.   3 sailfish, 2 blue marlin and a white marlin were released today.
