• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had a nice day with partly sunny skies.  The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph.  The temperatures were in the low 80’s  

    On the Buxton beach there were a few bluefish and sea mullet reported.   The Frisco beach had some sea mullet and pompano.  The Hatteras beach had sea mullet, bluefish, spot, pompano and flounder reported, just like yesterday.  The picture below is Brian Ayers with his catch of a nice almost citation size pompano weighing 1lb 14oz down on the Hatteras beach this morning in front of the house where he was married on Monday. Congratulations and best of times ahead to you and your bride.

    The inshore boats caught bluefish and spanish mackerel just outside Hatteras Inlet.  Puppy drum, a few big red drum and a few speckled and gray trout were caught in the Pamlico Sound.    The offshore boats had a few dolphin and good wahoo fishing with one 1 sailfish released today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had partly sunny skies with some rain showers early in the morning with cloudy skies moving in late in the afternoon.  The winds were from the south-west early at 5-10 mph, then switching to the north-east at 15-20 mph.  The temperatures were in the mid 80’s  

    On the Buxton beach there were catches of spot, croaker and pompano reported.   The Frisco beach had some sea mullet and bluefish.  The Hatteras beach had sea mullet, bluefish, spot, pompano and flounder reported..

    The inshore boats caught bluefish and puppy drum,  with a few speckled trout.    The offshore boats had good dolphin and wahoo fishing and a few blackfin tuna and one yellowfin tuna. 3 sailfish, a blue marlin and white marlin were released today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had more sunny skies.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s  

    On the Buxton beach there were catches of sea mullet and bluefish reported.  Out at Cape Point there are still some sharks caught  The Frisco beach had sea mullet, bluefish and pompano caught.   The Hatteras beach had sea mullet, bluefish, spot and flounder reported..

    The inshore boats caught bluefish, puppy drum, speckled and gray trout.    The offshore boats had good dolphin and wahoo fishing and a few blackfin tuna..  3 white marlin, 2 sailfish and a blue marlin were released today.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had mostly sunny skies with windy conditions. .  The winds were from the south-west at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s  

    On the Buxton beach today catches of sea mullet, spot and puppy drum reported.  Out at Cape Point lots of sharks were caught  The Frisco beach had sea mullet, and pompano caught.   The Hatteras beach had sea mullet, bluefish and flounder reported..

    The inshore boats caught bluefish and speckled trout.    The offshore fishing was choppy and rough today.  The boats had excellent dolphin fishing, a few wahoo and blackfin tuna..  A few sailfish were released today also.

    Today we had mostly sunny skies with some very light rain in the early afternoon. .  The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s  

    On the Buxton beach today catches of sea mullet and pompano reported.  The Frisco beach had sea mullet, pompano and bluefish caught.   The Hatteras beach had sea mullet, bluefish, pompano and the big drum have made another showing at the Inlet..

    The inshore boats caught puppy drum, bluefish and speckled trout.    The offshore boats had excellent wahoo fishing, a few dolphin and blackfin tuna..  A few sailfish were released today.
