Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunny skies most of the day with rain showers in the afternoon. The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s

On the Buxton beach some citation sea mullet, puppy drum and bluefish were reported.  The Frisco and Hatteras beach had sea mullet and bluefish caught.

The inshore boats caught puppy drum, gray and speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound.  The  Cobia and some big red drum were also caught around Hatteras Inlet.

The offshore fleet had some pretty good dolphin fishing with a few yellowfin and black fin tunas and wahoos were caught.  Their were 2 blue marlin and a sailfish released today.

Today we had sunny skies again The winds were from the south-west at 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s

On the Buxton beach some sea mullet and bluefish were reported.  The Frisco beach had black drum and bluefish caught.   Down on the Hatteras beach some sea mullets were reported.

The inshore boats caught more citation red drum and bluefish.  Some speckled trout were reported in the Pamlico Sound.

The offshore fleet had some decent dolphin fishing with a few yellowfin and black fin tunas caught.  Pretty good amberjack fishing on the jigs.  Their were 1 blue marlin and 2 white marlin released today:

Today we had sunny skies.   The winds were from the north-west switching to the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s

On the Buxton beach some sea mullet, sheepshead and bluefish were reported.  The Frisco beach had some sea mullet and flounder reported. Down on the Hatteras beach some sea mullet, bluefish and flounder were caught.

The inshore boats caught more citation red drum in the Pamlico Sound today.

The offshore fleet in Hatteras had a pretty decent day of dolphin fishing, a few blackfin tunas and yellowfin tunas were pretty good way up the beach.  The bottom fishing was good today with b liners, triggerfish and sea bass.  2 blue marlins, a white marlin and 3 sailfish were released today from the charter fleet today.

The “Hatteras Fever II”  with Capt. Buddy Hooper from Buxton NC has won the 55th Big Rock with their 465.3 lb blue marlin.  Congratulations and Great Work!!!

The 6th and final day of The Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament  had the most releases of any day with 99 boats out of 100 fishing.   30 blue marlin, 19 white marlin and 4 sailfish were released today.

Today we had sunny skies with cooler temperatures.   The winds were from the north at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s

On the Buxton beach some sea mullet and bluefish were reported.  The Frisco beach had some small puppy drum. sea mullet and croakers caught. Down on the Hatteras beach some sea mullet, bluefish and croakers were caught.

The inshore boats caught citation red drum and bluefish and a few cobias caught too.  Rudy Gray of “Hook Up” charters with one of many citation red drum caught today.

The offshore fleet in Hatteras had pretty decent day.  Good dolphin catches, a few blackfin tunas and wahoo and out in the deep the yellowfin tunas were thick with 60 lb class fish.  2 blue marlins were released today.

The 5th day of The Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament  had more release action today with 76 boats out of 100 fishing.   12 blue marlin, 9 white marlin and 4 sailfish were released today.  The “Hatteras Fever II”  with Capt. Buddy Hooper from Buxton NC is still in the lead going into the 6th and final day of the 55th Big Rock with their 465.3 lb blue marlin.  99 out of 100 boats are able to fish tomorrow and the conditions are supposed to be almost slick calm with west winds.  Fishing times are 8 am till 2 pm.  Good Luck !!!
