• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had another sunny day.  The winds were from the south-west at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

    Out at Cape Point we have the big drum still hanging around with several caught today.  Some bluefish and sheepshead were reported on the Buxton Beach.  Over on the Frisco beach there were a few bluefish and sea mullet caught.  Down around the Hatteras beaches spot, bluefish and sea mullet reported.

    The inshore boats had real good puppy drum catches today.  The offshore boats had a good dolphin bite  with better conditions than yesterday.

    The second day of the Hatteras Village Offshore Open had no billfish releases.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies with increasing winds.  The winds were from the south-west at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

    The big drum did make a showing out at Cape Point today.  Some bluefish were also caught.  The Buxton beach had a few puppy drum and sea mullet reported.  Over on the Frisco beach there were a few sea mullet and blow toads caught.

    No boats fishing inshore today.  Even though the offshore conditions were rough today the dolphin fishing was really good with a few wahoo mixed in.

    The first day of the Hatteras Village Offshore Open had 5 blue marlins, 1 white marlin and a sailfish released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had sunny skies.  The winds were from the north-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 60’s.

    Fishing today was a little better.  We had some bluefish and sea mullet caught on the Buxton,  Frisco and Hatteras beaches.  Some Croakers and a blowtoad were caught over Ramp 55 in Hatteras.

    No boats fishing inshore today.  Good fishing offshore today. Lots of dolphin, some yellowfin and blackfin tuna and a nice bunch of grouper  A sailfish, two white marlin and one blue marlin were released today.

    Tomorrow is the first day of the Hatteras Village Offshore Open.  They fish through May 18th.  Good Luck to all the boats fishing.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had overcast skies with some scattered rain showers.  The winds were from the north-east at 10-15 mph with gusts to 28 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 60’s.

    Fishing today was slow again.  We had some bluefish and sea mullet caught on the Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras beaches.

    No boats fishing inshore today.  A few offshore boats fished today and they came back a little early due to the rough conditions.  Some dolphin’s were caught and that’s about it.

    Today we had sunny skies.  The winds were from the north-west switching to the north-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.

    Fishing today was slow.  We had some bluefish, sea mullet and a few speckled trout on the Buxton beach.  The Frisco and Hatteras beaches had some bluefish and sea mullet reported.

    The inshore boats had a few puppy drum and pretty good bluefish catches.  Offshore fishing continues to be good with limits of dolphin and amberjacks.   A few wahoo and a grouper were caught.
