Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

The Weather in Frisco was nice and calm with sunny skies.  We had south-west winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.  Up on the Avon beach the sea mullet, spot and croaker were all caught.  Around Cape Point there was a pretty good spanish mackerel and bluefish bite along with some red drum and sharks.  The Frisco and Hatteras beach had some good pompano and sea mullet fishing.  8-year-old Josh Kiser caught this nice1 lb 15.5oz pompano at ramp 55 in Hatteras.  Pretty work Josh!!!

The inshore boats had a real good day of spanish mackerel and bluefishing.  In the Pamlico Sound the speckled trout fishing was good.  There were some nice oversize red drum released.  The offshore fishing was really good too.  Limits of dolphin were caught and a few wahoo and blackfin tuna.  One blue marlin was released.

The Weather in Frisco was mostly rainy today.  We had south-west winds 15-25 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.  Even though it rained all day some folks were determined to fish.  Out at Cape Point some sea mullet, spot and croaker were caught.  That is the only report I have.  No boats fished today either.  The 29th annual Pirate’s Cove Billfish Tournament is this week from August 13th-17th.  The 23rd Annual Alice Kelly Tournament will be held on August 12th.
