• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island: The Weather in Frisco was sunny today.  We had north winds upwards of 5 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70s.  On the Avon beach, pompano, bluefish, sea mullet, spot, a keeper flounder and some smaller puppy drum were caught.  Action on the Buxton beach included sea mullet, croaker, pompano, spot, flounder and bluefish. Out at Cape Point, a few Spanish mackerel and bluefish were caught on lures. On the Frisco beach some bluefish and spot were reported and down at Hatteras Inlet pompano and puppy drum were caught. A few speckled trout we’re reported inshore.  Offshore fishing today had wahoo and nice yellowfin Tuna with a few dolphin mixed in.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was sunny and nice in the morning.  By the afternoon a line of severe thunderstorms and lighting passed through.  We had south-east winds switching to the north-east at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.  The Avon beach had bluefish,spot and small puppy drum.  Around the Buxton beaches pompano, sea mullet and bluefish were reported.  Out at Cape Point the bluefish bite was good early morning and late afternoon after the rain passed.  A few spanish mackerel and sting rays were also caught.  The Frisco and Hatteras beaches had bluefish and sea mullet.  No boats fishing inshore today.  The offshore boats had a few dolphin, wahoo and blackfin tuna.  The billfish bite was pretty good for the few boats that fished.  One est. 500 lb blue marlin, about 6 sailfish and a white marlin were released.  Below one of 3 sailfish released by the “Native Son” charter boat today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was sunny today.  We had south-west winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were around 80 degrees.  On the Avon beach some sea mullet, bluefish, spot, croaker and puppy drum were caught.  Out at Cape Point the bluefish bite was good in the morning and evening, a few spanish mackerel were mixed in.  On the Frisco beach some bluefish, sea mullet and flounder were reported.  Down at Hatteras Inlet bluefish, pompano, flounder and puppy drum were caught.  The inshore boats had good bluefish and spanish mackerel fishing around Cape Point today.  In the Pamlico Sound the big red drum bite was real good and some nice puppy drum and speckled trout were caught.  Offshore fishing was real good today.  Some dolphin, wahoo and blackfin tuna were caught.  Several sailfish and one blue marlin were released.  A nice photo of the “Native Son” charter boat with their blue marlin today.  They also caught 3 sailfish.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was sunny and the winds were calm today.  We had south-east winds at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.  Up on the Avon beach some spot, sea mullet, small puppy drum and bluefish were reported.  At Cape Point some good bluefish catches were reported early in the morning.  In the afternoon the bluefish and spanish mackerel showed up.  A few sea mullet were caught as well.  The Frisco and Hatteras beaches had some bluefish, sea mullet and some flounder.  The inshore boats had excellent spanish mackerel and bluefish out in the ocean around Hatteras Inlet and Cape Point.  Inside the Pamlico Sound the puppy drum and speckled and gray trout fishing was good.  The offshore boats had good dolphin, a few wahoo and one white marlin released.  Some good bottom fishing with trigger fish, snappers, tilefish and grouper were caught.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

    The Weather in Frisco was sunny and the winds were calm again today.  We had south-east winds at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.  Up on the Avon beach some spot, sea mullet, croaker, small puppy drum and a few flounder were caught.  Out at Cape Point the bluefish bite on lures was excellent.  Some spanish mackerel and small puppy drum  were also caught.  The Frisco and Hatteras beaches had a variety of fish caught.  Bluefish, sea mullet, pompano, small puppy drum and spot were reported. The inshore boats had real good catches of spanish mackerel and bluefish around Cape Point.  There were speckled and gray trout and flounder caught in the Pamlico Sound.  The offshore fishing was much better today.  Some nice gaffer dolphin, mostly bailers, blackfin tuna and wahoo were caught.   The bottom fishing was good with b liners, red snapper and trigger fish.
