• Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:  Today the weather in Frisco was beautiful today.  We had north-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.  Hurricane Sandy, yes a hurricane in October.  Its going to create lots of swell and rain.  Winds should not be above 50 mph we hope.  They are calling for north-east winds the next few days.  On Friday 15-20 mph, Friday night 20-25 and Saturday 25-35 mph with gusts to 50 mph possible.

    Bluefish, puppy drum and sea mullet were reported on the Avon beach.  The Buxton beaches and Cape Point had some bluefish and puppy drum.  On the Frisco beach some bluefish, puppy drum and lots of sea mullet on shrimp were reported.  Their were flounder and bluefish down on the Hatteras beach.

    The inshore boats had good speckled and gray trout catches and lots of small flounder were caught.   Boats fishing offshore today had good wahoo and dolphin and some blackfin and yellowfin  tuna. One sailfish was released.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Report

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:  Today the weather in Frisco was beautiful today.  We had north-west winds switching to the south at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s today.

    Bluefish, puppy drum, spot and sea mullet were reported on the Avon beach.  The Buxton beaches had some bluefish and puppy drum.  Out at Cape Point there was a bluefish blitz just before dark and some caught throughout the day.  On the Frisco and Hatteras beaches some bluefish, flounder and some puppy drum were reported.  The puppy drum bite was better on the Hatteras beach.  The Picture below are some nice speckled trout caught today in the Pamlico Sound.  One was 3 lbs 13 ozs and the other was 3 lbs 10 ozs.

    The inshore boats had excellent speckled trout catches.  Lots of small flounder were caught as well.   Boats fishing offshore today had good wahoo and a few dolphin and some blackfin tuna. One sailfish was released.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:  Today the weather in Frisco was a beautiful again today.  We had north-west winds switching to the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s today.

    Bluefish, puppy drum and sea mullet were reported on the Avon beach.  The Buxton beaches and around Cape Point had some bluefish and puppy drum.  On the Frisco and Hatteras beaches some bluefish, flounder, sea mullet and some puppy drum were reported.

    The inshore boats had a few speckled and gray trout and flounder today.   Boats fishing offshore today had good fishing today.  Lots of wahoo and dolphin, real good king mackerel and some blackfin tuna. Three sailfish were released.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:  Today the weather in Frisco was a beautiful with sunny skies.  We had north winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s today.

    Bluefish, sea mullet, black drum and some flounder were reported on the Avon beach.  The Buxton beaches and around Cape Point had lots of bluefish, puppy drum and flounder.  On the Frisco and Hatteras beaches some bluefish, flounder and some black drum were reported.

    The inshore boats had a good day of speckled trout and flounder today.   Only a few boats fishing offshore today and they did pretty good  with lots wahoo and dolphin and a few blackfin tuna. One sailfish was released.
