Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had partly sunny skies with windy conditions. The winds were from the south-west at 15-20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.
Today the fishing was slow. The Avon and Buxton beaches had some sea mullet reported. The southern beaches of Frisco and Hatteras are fighting the sargassum grass so fishing has been quite difficult.
The inshore boats caught keeper flounder and puppy drum today in the Pamlico Sound.
No boats fished offshore from the charter fleet due to the rough south-west winds. There were 4 boats that ventured out fishing the 57th Annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament today and there were no hook ups on billfish and a few dolphin and wahoo caught. The leader board stays the same with the “Viking 62” still on top with there 680 lb Blue Marlin.
