• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today it was sunny with more wind.  The winds were from the south-west at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches sea mullet. bluefish and spanish mackerel were reported.  Around the Buxton beaches sea mullet were caught.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton spanish mackerel and bluefish were caught on lures and a few sea mullet on bait.  Over on the Frisco and Hatteras beach sea mullet, pompano and bluefish were caught.

    Inshore boats caught. lots of puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound today. Some cobia were caught in and around Hatteras Inlet.

    The offshore boats caught a few dolphin and some nice catches of tilefish and trigger fish.  There was a sailfish released today too.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had light winds with some humidity.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches there were sea mullet, bluefish, puppy drum and a few pompano caught. Out at Cape Point in Buxton for those who choose to walk in the water to get to the Point were catching lots of spanish mackerel and bluefish, along with sea mullet.  Over on the Frisco a few sea mullet were reported.

    Inshore boats reported puppy drum, bluefish and gray trout today in the Pamlico Sound.  Spanish mackerel fishing was good outside Hatteras Inlet.

    The offshore boats caught a few dolphin, black fin tuna, yellow fin tuna and some nice catches of tilefish and trigger fish.  There was a blue marlin released today too.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was partly cloudy today with temps in the low 80’s.   The winds SW at 10 to 15 mph.

    Avon had reports of Bluefish, Sea Mullet and some Cobia off the pier.  Buxton had some Spanish Mackerel.  In Frisco Sea Mullet were reported.

    Inshore boats caught Red Drum, Spanish Mackerel and Speckled Trout.

    The offshore boats caught Dolphin, Blackfin Tuna and a few Wahoo. One Blue Marlin and one Sailfish were released.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It has been cloudy today with rain off and on.  It is humid temps in the low 80″s, the winds were west at 4 to 9 mph.

    Avon had reports of Bluefish, Sea Mullet, and pompano.  Buxton had some Spanish Mackerel and Sea Mullet.  Here in Frisco Sea Mullet were reported.

    Inshore boats caught Gray Trout, Bluefish, Puppy Drum and Spanish Mackerel.

    The offshore boats caught Dolphin, Wahoo and Tuna mixed in. A few charters released Blue Marlin.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The rain came this morning and hasn’t left us.  It has been even heavy at times.  The winds were out of the south and southeast today around 4-14, with a few higher gusts.  The temperature was 76F.

    Avon had reports of bluefish, sea mullet, pompano and  some drum.  Buxton had some spanish mackerel.  Here in Frisco we had a few sea mullet and pompano.  Hatteras had bluefish, pompano and sea mullet.  The sound folks caught some speckled trout and puppy drum.   * Speckled trout were released, you are not allowed to keep them at this time*

    The inshore boats that went out the morning had some cobia.

    The offshore boats made a quick trip out and came back to the dock with some dolphin and blackfin tuna.
