• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today we had mostly cloudy skies with temps in the upper 60’s.  The wind was east northeast from 10 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 24 mph.

    On Frisco beach a large blue fish was reported.  Scattered Puppy Drum are being caught at Cape Point.

    Offshore boats caught  Blackfin Tuna, some Mahi a few Wahoo and Yellowfin Tuna. There were also Triggerfish and good King Mackerel fishing. One of the boats released Sailfish.

    Inshore boats were seeing Red and Black Drum and a few Bluefish.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    We had a monsoon this morning.  Lots of rain, pretty heavy at times.  The rain ended after lunch, but the clouds hung around.  The temperature was right at 70 with southeast winds today and west-south-west winds this evening.

    There is no beach report for today.  Folks went fishing after the rain, but we did not hear from anyone today.  We will update tomorrow if we hear anything.

    There were some big reds released with papers this afternoon for the inshore report.

    The offshore for those that went caught some dolphin, king mackerel and blackfin and yellowfin tuna.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was overcast with light rain.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

    Out at Cape Point in Buxton a few big red drum were caught, some bluefish and sea mullet were reported.  Plenty of sharks and skates were also in the mix.

    Inshore boats caught bluefish and puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound.

    Offshore boats had excellent dolphin fishing, some nice black fin and yellow fin tuna catches and some wahoo

    Today we had sunny skies and light wind.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.

    Out at Cape Point in Buxton there were sea mullet, bluefish and puppy drum reported.  A few big red drum were also caught and released.  Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet and skates were caught.

    Inshore boats caught bluefish, black drum and red drum today in the Pamlico Sound.

    Offshore boats had excellent black fin tuna, some nice dolphin and big wahoo.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

     

    Todays weather averaged 69 degrees with a high of 76 degrees. The wind was blowing out of the southwest averaging 8 mph.

    Sea mullet and blow toads were reportedly caught at ramp 43.

    Inshore boats were able to pick up some red and black drum.

    Offshore boats continue to reel in the blackfin tuna, wahoo and dolphin.
