Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

The temperature climbed into the mid to upper 50s this afternoon, while the north-east winds calmed a bit with only a few gusts in the mid 20’s around noon. The skies also cleared from a grey morning into a sunny afternoon.

We had reports of a very good black drum bite at the Frisco pier site today.

There is no inshore report for today.

They caught some blackfin tune, wahoo, and king mackerel offshore today.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was a dreary, cold, rainy day across the Island. The temperature hit 50F, but felt colder with the north winds blowing 5-15 mph.

Folks tried their luck today, but all that was biting was some dog sharks.

There is no inshore or offshore report for today.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

What a difference a day makes! Today never got out of the 40’s. The winds blew out of the north for the better part of the day, switching to the northeast this evening. The winds blew 15-20 mph with some gusts close to 40 after midnight til around 4pm then subsided to 5 mph.

There were a few fishermen that braved the cold wind and weather, it paid off. They caught some sea mullet and blow toads here in Frisco.

There was no inshore or offshore report today due to the weather.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was mostly rainy and warm in the morning with windy conditions calming in the afternoon and cooling off a bit. The winds were from the south-west at 15-25 mph switching to the north-east at 5-10 mph. The temperatures were in the upper 60s dropping to the upper 50’s.

Out at Cape Point in Buxton lots of big red drum caught today along with puppy drum. Over on the south beaches in Frisco and Hatteras a few blow toads and sea mullet were caught.

No report inshore or offshore today.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was sunny and warm. The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph with gusts in the 20’s. The temperatures were in the low 70’s.

Out at Cape Point in Buxton lots of big red drum caught today along with blow toads and sea mullet. Over on the Frisco and Hatteras beach lots of blow toads and some nice sea mullet were reported.

Pictured is John Haze’s catch, a mess of blow toads and sea mullet caught around the Hook near Cape Point.

The inshore boats caught some flounder and some big red drum today in the Pamlico Sound.

The offshore boats had good black fin tuna catches with several citations. A few yellowfin tuna, dolphin and king mackerel were also caught.
