Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had showers off and on throughout the day, with a high of 80F, with very little wind.

The northern beaches, Rodanthe to Avon has reported sea mullet, croaker, puppy drum and bluefish. Buxton reported sea mullet, spot, croaker and pompano, even 1 citation pompano this evening, weighing in at 2.2lbs. Frisco had some over the slot puppy drum, sheepshead, pompano and flounder. Hatteras had flounder and bluefish.

The inshore boats had catches of red drum and speckled trout. Those who fished inshore had great catches of spanish mackerel and bluefish.

The offshore boats had fair catches of gaffer dolphin, few yellowfin tuna, few wahoo and scattered blackfin tuna. Those that bottomfished caught triggerfish and grouper. There was a sailfish and a white marlin released today.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was a nice day on Hatteras Island today. We had a high of 81F. The winds were out of the south-south-west around 5 mph.

Cape Point is reporting sharks today. Here in Frisco there were some sea mullet. Hatteras had bluefish and puppy drum.

The inshore boats had catches of bluefish, puppy drum, spanish mackerel, gray and speckled trout.

The offshore boats had catches of dolphin, grouper, triggerfish and amberjack. There were lots of billfish flags flying on the boats today!

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had mostly sunny skies with thunderstorms late in the day. The winds were from the west south-west at 10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

On the Buxton beach sea mullet and croakers were caught. Out at Cape Point in Buxton bluefish and lots of sharks were caught. Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet were reported.

The inshore boats had good catches of puppy drum, bluefish, spanish mackerel and speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound. One 7 lb 8 oz speckled trout was caught aboard the “Tradition” charter boat today. Pretty work Cameron.

The offshore boats had rough seas and scrappy fishing. A few dolphin, a wahoo and amberjack were reported.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was sunny and hot again. The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.

On the Buxton beach sea mullet, bluefish and croakers were reported. Out at Cape Point in Buxton an old bomb was uncovered on shelly island.. Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet, croaker and some bluefish were reported.

The inshore boats had good catches of puppy drum, bluefsih, flounder and speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound.

The offshore boats had decent catches of dolphin and black fin tuna. Some nice wahoo and yellowfin tuna were caught. A sialfish and a grouper were caught as well.

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was sunny and hot. The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

On the Buxton beach sea mullet and croakers were reported. Out at Cape Point in Buxton bluefish and sharks were caught. Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet, croaker and some bluefish were reported.

The inshore boats had good catches of puppy drum, bluefsih and speckled trout in the Pamlico Sound.

The offshore boats had decent catches of dolphin and black fin tuna. Some nice tilefish and grouper were caught.
