• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Little rougher conditions today. The winds were from the East at 10-15 mph. We had some scattered showers in the afternoon. Temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

    Winds made for rough conditions on the beach. The only reports we heard were from the Avon Pier and they were catching small puppy drum and sea-mullet.

    Inshore fishing is still going great. Bluefish and grey trout in the sound. Red drum were biting in the inlet again today.

    Offshore today the bill fish were biting. A few sailfish were released today and blue marlin was brought to the docks today weighing in at 337lbs by the Bite Me crew. (picture below) Wahoo are still biting great. Yellow-fin tuna, black-fin tuna, and dolphin were biting good today as well.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Few clouds around again today. The temperatures were in the lower 80’s. Winds were from the North-East at 5-10 mph in the morning picking up to 10-15 mph in the afternoon.

    Slow fishing off the beach today. In Avon there was sea-mullet caught in the morning. Off the pier there was sea-mullet and croaker biting. Buxton beach had a few sea-mullet caught. Here in Frisco there was sea-mullet and croaker biting. Hatteras beach there was rough conditions.

    Red drum fishing is still the hot topic of the inshore fishing with keepers and citations being caught. Grey trout were biting this morning as well.

    Offshore today fishing slowed down a little. Dolphin and yellow-fin tuna were scattered. Blackfin-tuna and wahoo were biting good.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Partly cloudy skies today with temperatures in the mid 80’s. Winds were from the North-East at 5-10 mph.

    Off the beach fishing was fair. In Avon there was sea-mullet and croaker off the beach. Off the pier there was sea-mullet, small bluefish, and croaker. From the beach in Buxton there was spanish mackerel and small bluefish biting. Here in Frisco there was sea-mullet and croaker caught. From the Hatteras beach there was sea-mullet, croaker, spot, small bluefish, and puppy drum caught.

    Inshore today there was great spanish mackerel fishing. The citation class red drum were biting great today also.

    Yellow-fin and black-fin tuna were biting great again today. The wahoo and dolphin bite was fair today. There was a few sailfish released as well. King mackerel showed up today also.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was sunny with more calm winds.  We had south winds 5 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beach sea mullet, croaker, spot and bluefish were reported.   Around the Buxton beaches bluefish, sea mullet and croakers were reported.  Out at Cape Point bluefish, spanish mackerel and some sea mullet were caught.  Over on the Frisco beach bluefish, sea mullet, croaker, spot and a few puppy drum were reported.  Down on the Hatteras beach sea mullet, spot, croaker, pompano and flounder were caught.

    The inshore boats had excellent catches spanish mackerel.

    The offshore boats had good catches of yellowfin and blackfin tuna.  The wahoo and dolphin bite was scattered.  A blue marlin and sailfish were released today,

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was sunny with calm winds.  We had north winds 5 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beaches sea mullet, bluefish and a few puppy drum were caught.

    Around the Buxton beaches bluefish were reported.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton bluefish and spanish mackerel were caught. Over on the Frisco beach bluefish were reported.  Down on the Hatteras beach sea mullet, croaker, bluefish  and flounder were caught.

    The inshore boats had good catches of gray trout and bluefish along with some nice citation red drum in the Pamlico Sound.

    The offshore boats had good catches of yellowfin and blackfin tuna.  The wahoo bite was scattered along with the dolphin.  A few king mackerel showed up today.
