• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Scattered rain showers throughout the day. Temperatures were around 80 today with winds from the south-west at 5-10 mph.

    From the beach today there was scattered fishing. From the Avon beach today the bite was slow. Off the pier there was spot, sea-mullet, and puppy drum biting. In Buxton there was spanish and bluefish biting. In Frisco there was sea-mullet, bluefish, and some small puppy drum caught. In Hatteras there was pompano and bluefish biting.

    Inshore was slower today. There was short puppy drum released this morning and some speckled trout caught.

    Offshore today the fishing was great. Yellow-fin and balck-fin tuna were biting again today. There was a scattered dolphin bite and a few sailfish released. The wahoo bite was great today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Cloudy conditions today. The temperatures were in the mid 80’s. The winds were from the calm from the South-East but picked up to 10-15 mph in the afternoon.

    Fishing picked up some today. In Avon there was sea-mullet, spot, and bluefish biting off the Avon beach. Off the Pier there was pompano, croaker, and sea-mullet caught. In Buxton there was spanish mackerel, bluefish, and some flounder biting. Here in Frisco the fishing was slow. Hatteras beach had pompano and bluefish biting.

    Inshore today the fishing slow. There was speckled trout biting.

    More sailfish were released today. Gaffer and bailer dolphin were biting. There was a few black-fin and yellow-fin tuna caught as well.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Fair weather today. Partly cloudy with some scattered showers late in the afternoon. The temperatures were in the lower 80’s. Winds were from the calm from the East.

    Slow fishing today. From the pier in Avon there was spanish mackerel and pompano biting. Off the beach there was bluefish, spanish mackerel, puppy drum, and pompano caught. In Buxton there was bluefish and spanish mackerel were biting at the point.  Here in Frisco and down in Hatteras there wasn’t much biting.

    Inshore today there was great red drum fishing. Limits of speckled trout were caught as well today.

    Offshore today there was a real good bite from wahoo. The black-fin and yellow-fin tuna were biting great again today. Sailfin and blue marlin were released again.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was mostly sunny with light winds.  We had north-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

    Up on the Avon beach pompano,  croaker and a few sea mullet were reported.  Around the Buxton beach bluefish, croaker, sea mullet and  a few puppy drum were reported.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton bluefish and some spanish mackerel were caught.  A few bluefish and sea mullet were caught on the Frisco beach today.

    The inshore boats had good catches of speckled trout and lots of puppy drum and big red drum in the Pamlico Sound today.

    The offshore boats had good catches of black fin tuna and dolphin.  The yellow fin tuna and wahoo fishing was scattered.  Two sailfish were released.

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was overcast with light winds.  We had south-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.

    Up on the Avon beach puppy drum, croaker and a few sea mullet were reported.  Around the Buxton beach bluefish, croaker, sea mullet and pompano were reported.  Out at Cape Point in Buxton puppy drum, bluefish and some spanish mackerel were caught.  A few bluefish and puppy drum were caught on the Frisco beach today.
