• Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Today was partly cloudy.  We had a high of 84F and northeast winds were blowing today around 4-10 mph.

    The water cleaned up a bit.  This morning there were some small pompano and sea mullet in Avon, along with puppy drum, small bluefish and croaker.  Buxton had reports of spanish mackerel, bluefish and 1 40″ drum.  Frisco had a few small bluefish and sea mullet.  Hatteras had small bluefish and croaker.

    The inshore boats had catches of drum, trout, bluefish and spanish mackerel.

    The offshore boats had good catches of yellowfin and blackfin tuna, along with some nice size wahoo and dolphin.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    It was a beautiful day here on Hatteras Island.  We had a high of 86F and warm southwest winds at 8-12 mph.

    Catching was a little spotty today, you had to be there to catch the fish.  Avon had catches of puppy drum, sea mullet and croaker.  Buxton had catches of small bluefish and spanish mackerel.  Hatteras had small puppy drum and bluefish.  No report today from Frisco, but we got some new ES Lures in pink/green and just pink, also in the “broke-back” in the same colors.  Should be good for the spanish mackerel and bluefish!

    The inshore boats had re drum releases today.

    The wahoo bite is still off the Hoook!  Boats are bringing in catches of wahoo, along with good yellowfin tuna and scattered blackfin tuna.  Pictured below is the charter boat “Longer Days” with a nice wahoo they caught today.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    little warmer today with temperatures in the upper 80’s. Winds were from the South-West at 5-10 mph.

    Off the beach today there was fair fishing. In Buxton there was sea-mullet, bluefish and puppy drum. Here in Frisco there was sea-mullet a few pompano and some small puppy drum caught. In Hatteras there was small puppy drum and bluefish biting.

    Today finished up the Hatteras Village surf fishing tournament. Men’s 1st place was The Scabs with 133 points. Women’s 1st place was the Showstoppers with 41 points.

    Inshore today it was another great day for red drum fishing.

    Offshore fishing the wahoo fishing was great with many boats getting limits again today. Dolphin fishing was good again today as well.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    Beautiful weather today. Winds were from the South-West at 5-10 mph breezing up to 10-15 mid day.Today the temperatures were in the lower 80’s.

    From the beach there was some good fishing. In Avon there was a few puppy drum, sea-mullet and croaker biting from the beach. Off the pier there was sea-mullet, pompano, and croaker biting. In buxton there was small bluefish and short puppy drum caught. Here in Frisco there was some pompano, bluefish, and puppy drum caught. In Hatteras there was a great bluefish bite as well as sea-mullet, puppy drum and small flounder.

    Inshore today there red drum bite was on with many released for citations. Near shore the spanish mackerel bite was fair.

    Offshore there was a great wahoo bite with most boats getting limits. Dolphin, yellow-fin tuna and a few sailfish were also biting.

  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

    Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

    The morning started out with cloudy skies and winds from the West at 5-10 mph. The skies cleared up as the day went on and winds shifted to the South-West. Temperatures were around 80 throughout the day.

    The puppy drum are here and biting off the beaches. In Avon there was croaker and sea-mullet off the beach. The pier had sea-mullet, croaker, and spadefish biting. In Buxton there was croaker and small bluefish. Here in Frsco we had bluefish biting. Hatteras beach had small bluefish and sea-mullet caught.

    Inshore today there was great red drum fishing again. There was also bluefish and flounder biting.

    Offshore today there was great wahoo fishing again. Dolphin and black-fin tuna were biting as well.
