  • Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

The weather was fair for a day on the water. The winds were South-West at 5-10 mph in the morning and 10-15 mph in the afternoon. We had some cloud cover this morning but cleared up as the day went on. The temperature was around 80 today.

Slow fishing off the beach. In Avon there was sea-mullet bluefish and croaker caught. Off the pier there was sea-mullet, spanish mackerel, bluefish and croaker. In Buxton there was flounder biting. No report for Hatteras or Frisco beaches. Ramp 49 in Frisco has been graded and filled with some sand so there is minimal amounts of water on the ramp now.

Slower fishing inshore today. There was a scattered puppy drum bite in the afternoon along with some red drum releases.

Only a few boats made it offshore with the winds. For the boats that did it paid off with a great dolphin bite and scattered amberjack.

Good Luck to those fishing the 57th Annual Hatteras Marlin Club Blue Marlin Release Tournament.
