Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was partly cloudy. The winds were from the north-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s.

Around the Buxton beaches blow toads and sea mullet were caught. Over on the Frisco beach bluefish. blow toads and puppy drum were reported. The Hatteras beaches reported bluefish.

The offshore boats caught black fin tuna and the bluefin tunas were hooked and came off.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

We had some storms roll through early this morning, didn’t last too long. It ended up being a beautiful day. We reached a high of 72F. The winds were all southerly directions today (S, SW & WSW) between 5-10 mph with higher gusts.

Blow toads are making an appearance from Avon down to Hatteras. There are also a few bluefish being caught around Ramp 43. Frisco had some puppy drum, a few sea mullet and blue fish to go with the blow toads. Hatteras also had some bluefish.

The offshore boats had good catches of blackfin tuna today.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

March 13, 2016

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was on the cloudy side. We had a high of 71F, with very little wind.

Fishing is picking up with these warmer temperatures. Just north of Buxton, blow toads were being caught. Blow toads were also caught around the jetties and ramp 43. Cape Point had some bluefish, sea mullet, blow toads and a few puppy drum. There were a few big drum last night. We have a picture below of one out of three drum this gentleman caught. He did not leave us his name though. The blow toads were also caught in Frisco and Hatteras today.

Some of the offshore boats had catches of blackfin and a few yellowfin tunas. Some fat alberts and a few amberjacks. No inshore reports yet, but should be soon!

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Great day here on the island. It was a little cloudy today but the temperatures were still in the lower 70’s. The winds were 5-10 mph from the East this morning turning to the South-West late in the afternoon.

From the beach today there was dome good fishing. On the beaches in Buxton there was some sea-mullet and blow-toads around. At the point there was blow-toads and some sharks. Here in Frisco there was small flounder, bluefish and some blow-toads.

Offshore today there was some good black-fin tuna fishing. There was also some scattered dolphin around.

Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

March 11, 2016

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Another great day here. The temperatures were in the upper 60’s. Winds were from the West at 10-15 mph for most of the day but turned to the North-East at 5-10 mph late in the afternoon.

Fishing from the beach today was very sloe. Didn’t hear much of anything being caught but we are selling bait and people are trying.

No offshore report for today due to winds.
